Do you know that our national electicity highway is now privatized?

The National Transmission Corporation, a government owned company that serves as a highway for electricity from generators to the distribution utilities is now privatized. It is considered to be the "crown-jewel" of the country as it the nation-wide high voltage transmission backbone. It will now be called, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines which composed of State Grid Corporation of China, Monte Oro Grid Resources and Calaca High-Power Corporation. They officially took over yesterday, January 15, 2009. This is a national issue, are you aware about this?
