A friend of mine emailed this to me today and this is very good to just delete from my inbox. So I am doing what I think would help in letting more people know about it.
FIVE SIMPLE RULES TO BE HAPPY:
1. FREE YOUR HEART FROM HATRED - FORGIVE.
2. FREE YOUR MIND FROM WORRIES. MOST NEVER HAPPENS.
3. LIVE SIMPLY AND APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE.
4. GIVE MORE.
5. EXPECT LESS FROM PEOPLE BUT MORE FROM GOD.

I love it. I plan to write it now. Thanks for that. The other day in church, we had a big day for the youth when people came from two states and packed our church and this minister from Montgomery did a seminar on end time events, and one of the things he said towards the end was don't place your trust on Barack Obama, put it in God. But he also said that so many people are praying for him and his family and God will have his hand on them.

Yes, I do believe that we should put our trust in God. God would not put Barack Obama in his position if he would not be able to help us. So I believe that God has plans for all of us.

Thank you for sharing. Some of them are difficult, but let us start from number three. Live simple and appreciate what you have. That is relatively easy, and maybe healthy to our life.

Yeah, most of them are difficult. But we'll keep on trying.

They are pretty good mantras. Why did you post it here and not just delete it? I am interested! I mean, if you thought to delete it out of hand (and not pass it on), what was it made you post it here?
Incidentally, I would say that rule #1 ought to be "Learn to love yourself". Actually, the correct order is:
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart ... and thy neighbour as thyself."
Which begs several questions:
What is 'love'?
How much do you love yourself?
Who is your neighbour?
How much, then, should you love your neighbour?

Wow, I didn't realize it could get such a response from someone. I just thought of it as something that we could all live by. That's it. The points that you raised are very interesting. That is my "something to think about" tonight.
