What do you do when you encounter prolonged service inerruption with your telephone and/or internet? Our Globeline phone and broadband services were interrupted by late November 2008. They were restored only last week, but after a few days we expereinced on-and-off internet service again. If I have to check my emails I go to an internet cafe.

I know how it feels because I am currently in that situation. We don't have internet connection since January 1 our connection was totally disabled. We have smartbro connection and I called them almost everyday and I always got the same answers as like what owelm said "sorry for the inconvinience" and so on. Its really frustrating because I really need the connection to do my online works. For the past 2 weeks I can't log in with my online earning sites and that means my earnings stop. Like you I need to go to internet shop just to open my mails and just check some of my sites. I can't do the same things as before, as we all know that we need to pay hourly rate with internet shops. Luckily I can do mylotting now using my mobile internet connection. Unfortunately I can't access all my sites using this connection. I was planning to change my internet connection from smartbro to globe broadband but with this post you got about globe broadband I'm hesitant now. What do you think is the best internet service provider we got here in our country?

hi, as for the broadband is concerned, i guess it depends on the location. internet access is just like a cellphone, if you have more signal the better. when it comes to internet its the same , example if you have more signal for globe on your cp then theres a high tendency that you'll have a good internet connection. how would i know? i have a friend who has a computer shop, at first he is using smartbro but it so happen that in our area smart signals for cp is very low, then he tried to change it to globelines it is the same because we don't have cp signals also for globe, so with that he can not operate his business well. then i advised him to try digitel because we're using digitel as for our landline and it has a good connection and clearer service.

Thanks for the info. Well I am using smart sim and I always encountered weak signal when I'm at home unlike my sister's signal its always in full bar and shes using globe sim. Maybe that's true we can have good globe internet signal base with that observation. Actually we don't have any choice now but to get that globe broadband connection. It's the only available internet service accessible in my particular place. I was about to get the PLDT DSL connetion but unfortunely they hold all applications in my area, they said they we're in the process of upgrading their system.

i experienced that we don't have internet for almost a month and that keeps me really upset with our ISP (digitel) It seem that their technical service is not good. I remember calling them almost everyday and the funny thing is, they keep saying the same thing. Sorry for the inconvenience, etc.

I did have the same problem too with Digetel as our ISP. Last November something went wrong with our internet connection and our phone line too. I keep calling them everyday and they said that they would make a report to the technical department. The next day I called them up again to follow up my complain they told me that the report was already forwarded to the technical department, the next day I called them up again that there was no available staff on duty since it was their Christmas party and told me to call up Monday since there would be no office days on week ends. I was really mad about that an I'm really going crazy about that. I called up Monday and I told them that its been more than a week they told me that they would follow it up from the technical department. The following day the technicians came to check our line and they told us that the phone line was cut somewhere near our place. I was really disappointed since it took them more than a week to respond to customers complaint.

I b*tch about it to the service provider :D It works pretty well. I know it's not the most appropriate way of doing things but it's the most effective because they put me in the high priority list. Also, I make sure that I apply for the refund - if I can't use their services, I shouldn't be paying for it. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I'm glad that I haven't experienced that such long interruption with my Bayantel DSL subscription, or else... LOL! Try to contact the customer service. If problem keeps coming back, you really have to talk with the district manager - much better if you can visit and file the complaint in their office.

We suffered cable interruption from Taiwan earthquake in 2007, which caused so much loss for companies having international business. Data got lost if not properly backup saved. And for the inferior conditions for repair, the recovery took a long time. Now you are facing the same situation. Man are enjoying inventions are encountering challenges as well. Hope they get back to normal soon.

Maybe it you have another provider that services the area (like PLDT) ... you can try giving globelines one more chance to fix your connection and then switch to another provider if it doesn't work out. I hope they didn't charge you for the months you didn't have access. If they did, you can contact customer service to ask for a refund

For globelines subscribers, still experiencing on-off internet connection? Im experiencing the same problems too with my connection for 2 weeks already. I've installed the quick fix program from their site hoping it would solve the problem. But still no luck.
