I'm going to remember this...

That's why I didn't write it down!!! And, guess what?? Yeah, I totally forgot it... Earlier today, I probably mentioned to my husband the Internet money I have coming in this week - about $50 or so. He kinda asked "How much of that is about me?" because he KNOWS I start discussions about him all the time. OK, so yeah, my last payout it really his because it's all discussions about things he did/said. But, some time during that conversation, or shorty before or after it, he said something that would be an AWESOME conversation!!! And I was going to write it down - because if it's not written down it's as good as gone - but I figured this was so good I'd NEVER forget it!!!! Yeah, guess what I forgot... I have no clue what this AWESOME discussion was (and yes, I KNOW it was going to be awesome, it'd even pay for my pencil repair!). And let me tell you, if I remember it at 2am in a dream, I'm WRITING IT DOWN!!! I know myself so well, why don't I just write it down???? WHY WHY WHY????

$50 from Mylot just talking about your husbad? How cool is that! You must love your husband very much. Congrats though and i think you should share your thoughts so that women/wives/gf's can have some great tips about their men.

Yes I feel your pain. I have done that so often I cannot remember. I have something on my clipboard that I want to start a discussion about and got up to peel boiled eggs and forgot. I will have to paste it later to a discussion.

How funny this is on so many levels reiny because I do the same thing, lol. If I don't write it down it's gone. Many time I'll think there's no way I'll forget this, but I do and should have written it down. I'll be glad when you do remember it, but write it down!

I do remember telling myself to write it down - I had paper and pencil right there too! But NNNOOOO!!!! I knew I'd remember that one so I didn't NEED to write it down. Sometimes I'm too smart for my own good!

Oh boy can I relate to this! Looking forward to your post tomorrow about the 2 am realization. I don't tend to get the morning realizations myself. I just forget the idea altogether, never to reappear again.

Hi there! I am lucky that I always write down whatever topic comes to my mind. I have a notebook and pen beside my laptop, always ready for me in case I think of something interesting to share. If I don't have my handy dandy notebook, it's my cellphone's notebook feature that I use. So wherever I am, I can write it down. I'm not a forgetful person in general, I just want to be sure cause its hard to think of a good topic to post sometimes. Maybe you got so excited that you thought you wouldn't forget about it. Whenever I forget about things, I don't force myself trying to remember what it is. After a while memory starts coming back. Try to rest your thoughts for a while cause it might help to refresh your memory. Ciao!

Nope, it's gone. Sometimes I'll do memory tricks to help me remember, but nothing worked this time. Ugh, teaches me not to write it down :-(

It can be very frustrating sometimes!

This does happen to me and that is why I always have a pad of paper and a pencil close by. When I come across something that I believe would be a good discussion I have to write it down otherwise it slips out of my mind not to return again.

I usually do that too, but I thought this one was so great that there was no way I'd forget it. Boy was I wrong!

Uh oh! That's too bad reinydawn, I'm sorry. I really never write down my discussions. I think I reply to more discussions than I create. I try not to do "me two" discussions, sometimes it happens, though. Were you able to remember the topic? Did you ask your spouse? Cheers! Pablo

Nope, it never came back to me. And I'm sure he didn't even TRY to remember it. I'll just keep thinking of other stuff though.

Perhaps you were overly excited to post it that your mind simply short-circuited to play a joke on you. Isn't it truly irritating and frustrating when something like that happens? You know that there's a good topic but you truly forget what it was about. You remembered it a few minutes ago and now the only thing you remember is the feeling! Aaaarrrggghhhh!!! Tell me about it. That happens to me ALL THE TIME here in mylot. That's why I don't have much topic that I started on. And I'd repeat.. It's really... Aaaaaarrrrghhhhh!!!

well it is not easy to remember things so it is important for me to write down all my ideas less i forget them. i have forgotten some topics before. it was such a waste. anyways, i think it is better if we can write spontaneously too.

Yeah, sometimes I get good ideas out of the blue. But when something happens that I think will be a great discussion I like to keep it on paper so I don't forget. Like I did this time :-(

Don't feel bad, I had two very good thoughts yesterday while I was working, and didn't take the time to stop and write them down. When I came home and sat down at my desk, I didn't have the slightest idea what my wonderful thoughts had been earlier that day.

Yup, it's like someone takes an eraser and just wipes it off your brain. So frustrating sometimes!

I use my experiences with my family the same way! They are usually a great source of discussions.

I am always doing stuff like that and it drives me crazy trying to remember what I was going to do. I haven't started many discussions since I have been here since everytime I think of one it seems as soon as I sit down and log in it is gone from my memory for good!! I need to start carrying a small note pad with me where ever I go so I can write stuff down so I won't forget!! I hate that there is so many other things that I can't forget that is of no use to me but when it comes to something I want to rememer I never seem to be able to. Hopefully your idea will come to you soon and you will be able to post it and it won't bother you anymore that you couldn't remember it!! Good Luck :)
