Well today we hit 40 below with the wind chill. Tomorrow is suppose to be the same. It is so cold they canceled schools all over the state. It is just stinking cold. What is funny though is that over the next week it is suppose to warm up 50 degrees. We are going to go from minus twenty five to a whopping thirty degrees. Thirty is still not warm but I might be outside in shorts after having this cold snap.

Hi mscott, for people like me who live in the tropical country where the weather in our place is always hot and it is around 32 degree C through the year. We always feel comfortable during night time until the following morning for the temperature during this period usually would be 26 degree C or so. It’s really awesome for me to have stay in places with temperature that is below 6 degree C. We use centigrade to measure the temperature here so I think 40 degree F is approximately equal to 6 degree C, or might be I’m incorrect in this calculation I had experienced such low temperature when visiting a temperate country during winter season last year. The freezing cold outside the building was really dreadful especially when it was snowing outside. I hope the severe winter would over very soon so you don’t have to stay away from the freezing cold inside the house and could enjoy the warmth of the sunny day again. Happy posting and take care.

Well we warmed up to a whopping 35 degrees today. For many people that is still cold but for here that is almost a sixty degree difference in a little over a week. people here are in sweat shirts and jeans, like it is a heat wave or something.

Well, it’s nice to learn that the temperature in your place has gone up to 35 degrees now. Anyway it's very much better than the earlier days. You are right many people especially me definitely would still feel scared of the severe cold as well. Wow! The people in your place are really fit and could feel comfortably wearing the sweat shirts and jeans in such a cold weather Thanks for the best response awarded and have a nice day.

Day-um! And I thought it was cold here at 26 in the middle of the freaking day! I live in the desert. It's not supposed to be 26 in the middle of the day! At least you can see 50 from where you are.... the forecast here just continues to be the same: Cold cold COLD. I hate being cold.

Hi... Anytime I see discussions about cold...they are something we can relate to up here. Manitoba is chilly during the winter at the best of times but this year our province and many others across Canada have been experiencing below normal temperatures with high wind chill factors. Being that you posted this 4 weeks ago I am curious what the weather is like now. Do you have short weather? Ours won't be for awhile yet. Spring for us starts in April...but a couple of years we had a big snowstorm on the 5th of May. With the way this winter is going I sure hope that is not the case. Raia

That is freezing!!! I have had a few people fly in today that were telling me about their weather in Minnesota and how it hurt to even walk outside since it was so cold. I could not imagine trying to live in weather like that. I would never leave my house all winter if I could avoid it. It is four degrees here right now but not sure about the wind chill factor or if I even want to know and I am dreading the walk to my car since I know I will be freezing but I will think of where you are and know that compared to there it is pretty warm here. Hope that you can stay inside and keep warm.
