Can you keep plants alive FOREVER?

The Welwitschia plant can live up to 1,000 years. Not at my house! I kill my house plants, bring them back, kill them again! How about you?

I am the biggest plant killer on earth. I have killed every single plant I have ever owned including bamboo. Do you know how hard it is supposed to be to kill bamboo? I killed mine in less than a month. I am also bad with fish. I am very lucky that I was able to raise children with my terrible history with plants and fish! And I seriously doubt that I could ever sustain a plants life forever even if they need no human intervention to survive!

Hi there! I am not a green thumb but there is one plant in my house that has lived for over 30 years. The plant has been passed down from my grandmother to my aunt and now to me. I was also able to give some of the plant to my mother by cutting and planted the others on soil. The plant keeps growing and is not hard to take care of. Just 3 years ago I am not so interested in gardening but got attracted to it and now I have a small garden in my own place. But I think very few plants can live forever. There will come a time that they will die no matter how hard we take care of them. Ciao!

I can bring them back to life usually. When the occasion arises, I normally call them "my beloved zombie plants". I have a harder time when mold hits, though, or if I fall ill...my plants are likelier to die then, and I mostly rely on the help of family when that happens.
