Birthday cake or Birthday pie?

I always have a bumpy cake for my bday because my mom buys me one every year for anyones birthday, be it my stepfathers, my brothers or mine... and it is very good but if I were to go out and purchase a cake for myself or anyone...I would get a cheesecake.... of course I am watching what I eat so I shouldnt even be thinking of cheesecake right now....LMAO!!

I never thought of a birthday pie before. We aren't big on cakes even for birthdays. Instead, I buy ice cream cakes from DQ or make brownies. I love any of the berry pies as well as apple, peach, banana cream pies. My daughter is the same way while hubby only like apple pie.

Awww, a birthday discussion. You know today is my baby's 1st birthday! I'll be making him a cake later. We always do cakes for birthdays. My husband likes lemon cake with lemon frosting! One slice of that is more than enough for awhile. I only make it for him on his birthday, and sometimes Father's day. He also likes strawberry cake with strawberry frosting, so sometimes I'll do that on Father's day. The kids usually get a vanilla or funfetti cake with vanilla, funfetti, or chocolate frosting.

Some of our kids are not very fond of cakes. But usually I make them cakes anyways. There was one year though that I did make my daughter an apple pie for her birthday. She really liked that but I found it difficult to put the candles on it...LOL.
