Does Snow Fascinates You?

I came from the tropical country, Philippines so when I moved in here in Europe last 2008 and for the first time of my 24 years of existence saw a real snow, words arent enough to describe what I felt at that moment. I was overjoyed that I tried to catch every single snow drops and like a child sat and laid on it. Its my second winter so when the first drop of snow touched I was still fascinated by it, the place covered all white and so pure. But today as I was riding a bike on my way home, I am so piss off with the weather or let me say the temperature. Its bone knockinga and could freeze someone to death. How about you, are you fascinated by the snow? How about the cold temperature it brings? Happy mylotting everyone!

Oh absolutely! Coming from a place in India where the verage temperature throughout the year remains at a hot and humid 35 degreee celsiuis I am completely fasciated by snow. Last year when I visited London I actually landed in London when it was snowing and it was just beautiful. The flakes look so fragile and beautifil but are also extremely dangerous as you have said. The cold just kills you

I still remember the first time I saw snow, which was around 11 years ago. I was still really little at that time, and we just moved to Canada from Taiwan, so I've never seen snow before. I remember thinking that it was the coolest thing ever and ran outside to play. Now, I don't play in the snow anymore, because I don't like the cold, but I do enjoy looking at it when it falls and blankets everything in a cover of white. At least, until I have to walk through it to get to school. It snowed almost 88cm during the holidays, and it's all almost melted by now thank God. Walking through all that would have been terrible. And I really don't like the temperature that comes with the snow, like I said, too cold.

I'm so not fascinated by snow, I dislike winter A LOT. If I could move somewhere warmer I would so be there! Just thinking if it was a warm snow (LOL) I wouldn't mind it so much. We have been having temperatures like -10 and tonight it is suppose to be -10 degrees and with wind chills -25. Yeah I'm not a fan of winter!

I know I sat almost all day covered up and doing just what had to be done! Just to cold out, which made it really chilly in here. We got a new outside wood stove and needed to put in alot more heating vents. They will get put in during the spring that is for sure! It is now 27 degrees so we are getting a heat wave or at least it feels like it after dealing with the -20 to -10 degree weather!

Hi ithink. Yeah the cold and chilly weather it brings is what made me dislike it somehow. It's nice to see the snow if it's not very cold and windy. As a matter of fact I am so sick today because of the negative temperature outside. Thanks for responding.

I can feel how fascinated you were when you first experienced snow. I would love to have that kind of experience. But, Europe and America are too far from the Philippines. It would be very expensive to have that luxury for me. I would rather have it experienced in some other Asian countries. I will be 42 on my birthday this coming February. It was a my childhood dream to touch snow. But, do you know what? Here in the Manila Philippines we are experiencing a cold temperature of 18C. Oh my god! It feels so cold. I went to Baguio last November and it was 9C. That was the coldest I can tolerate. Too much cold is not for me. I would love to stay here in the Philippines for its perfect temperatures. But, I still want to experience snow, within my life.

hi, jhoannejoj Yup, snow fascinates me too. But unlike you, I am still waiting for my turn to marvel at seeing snow. I hope someday I can do what you did with the snow the first time you saw it. about the cold, I'm not sure if I will dislike it. My mother always tell me to go to a country where there is snow whenever she hears me complaining about the heat. Have a nice day and take care!

nice to know someone from the philippines here at mylot. i am sure you are so glad to see some snow since we don't have it here, only frosts in some parts of the country. i guess most people around the world , even people who have snows in their country are still fascinated by it.

I don't know about fascinated by it but I do like watching it. It reminds me of when I was a kid and different places we lived. I also like to see a nice thick blanket of snow on the ground untouched by ppl and animals...there's something so pristine about it. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

snow - I like the snow very much.
I am from Guangzhou. Although there are four seasons here, but it is impossible to have the snow here. This is why I always like the snow as it is hard for me to experience in person unless I have a travel to the north place in winter. But on the other hand, I am afraid of the cold weather:) I love China

It's always wonderful to take time to see what mother nature has created. This morning it was so cold all the trees had frost on them. Even the Llamas who had slept out in the pasture had frosty blankets and frost around their ears. Of course they have wonderful coats and are always warm to the touch.

Yes Of course, snow does facinate me. I have always been in tropical countries. My Brorher & sister are in USA & Europe. They keep sharing the snaps especially about the snow covered car, trees etc. How i wish i was there. My son who is 7 years old has been requesting me to take him to a place where it snows. Unfortunately i am not in a position to afford such expensive trips. But my dreams may soon become a reality as I have joined a swiss company here in India. The company needs to send two people to switzerland every year for training. I can sense that my numer will be next. Even if they send me in the peak of winter, i am ready to face the stiff climate, just to feel snow on my face & to play with snow. Cheers!!!

I LOVE SNOW TOO! I live in Florida and have grown up here all my life and im so over it. Im over getting sun burnt, the hot weather and the same weather all the time. I wish i loved somewhere else so i could experience the different seasons. Every time im on vacation and i see snow i run through it, jump in it,caught it in my mouth and make snow angels even on the dirty NY streets. I LOVE IT.
