In this ever changing and challenging society - many people are losing jobs throughout this nation. Many people become very depressed upon losing a job, and also experience a lack of enthusiasm for life. Have you known anyone that has recently lost a job, and what effect has this on their personality?

well I can answer this from experiance. I just lost my job like 3 days ago and right now am going through the proess of trying to get it back. I was hurt mad pissed very emotional to say the least. I am slowly taking it one day at a time but I dont think that losing my job has effected my personality. The only thing that has hurt my personality is trying to find another job.

I lost my first job that I ever had in my whole life after having it for one year and one day exactly. I lost my second job one month after I got it. At this point, I was beginning to think, "what was I doing wrong?" I emailed people; they all told me I wasn't doing anything wrong, it was just the economy. Such is the artist's life, but it's still depressing. I'm not claiming to be depressed or anything; I figure this will turn around. But still, it's a little disheartening after you've waited your whole life to be able to have a job. You see, I'm disabled, and until about a year ago, I couldn't have a job and keep my life-sustaining benefits. So I was unemployed, because I would rather survive than work. Now the government's finally changed the rule, and went in a recession. Just my luck.
