18 years old is the legal age for applying for any transaction in the Philippines, so you are qualified to apply for EON account in the unionbank, but be sure that you have two valid i.d's to be presented to the bank personnel for validation of your EON application. Goodluck!

you what, jhamela? most of the times i get irritated by this requirement of having to produce at least government recognized id's at all times when doing certain transactions. after all, one id should sufficiently identify an individual. but of course, we are forced to comply with it. i just disiike this because i did my best to secure a driver's license for id purposes and then that's just not enough yet. so i have to apply for a barangay id only to be told that it is only an accompanying one to the valid id that i have.

I think it does not matter if you are just 18 years old as long as you can present the requirements of Unionbank in obtaining an Eon card. As jlamela have said, the bank requires two valid identification. You are also required to pay the amount of 350 pesos for the annual fee of the card. Anyway, Goodluck to you! I hope that you can get one soon.

i suggest that you just go outright to the bank branch nearest you so they can assist you. nowhere will you be able to resolve that problem of yours by just posting here one thread of discussion after another. of course, students can open an account in any bank, no problem with that. it just so happens that as of now, they always require two valid id's whenever you do transactions with the bank. it should be easier for you to do that since you are already of majority age. actually, even youngsters can have bank accounts, too. remember that there used to be a campaign among banks encouraging children to open an account? they maybe required though to be accompanied by a guardian when opening one. now, if you only have the school id to back you up, apply immediately for a postal id at the nearest post office where you are. it will not take long when you will get it. act now and act fast.
