A news from Yahoo! Finance dated January 16, 2009 said that Circuit City will be closing the remaining 567 stores in US. It is the nation's second-biggest consumer electronics retailer. In the Philippines, I think their stores in the malls are still open. I hope so. Are you a frequent customer of Circuit City? What do you usually purchase in their store?

I don't usually shop at circuit city, they are pretty expensive. They were doing great until Best Buy came along. They struggled for a bit, but best buy eventually took them down. Same thing with walmart vs kmart, and taco bell vs del taco. They come and they go. Bigger they are the harder they fall.

I was looking at the news when they announced it. It seems that the economy crunch is now stretching out a little farther than the auto industry. And thousands of more people will be among the jobless. I hope the future is going to get better than this. I am already out of a job because the company I worked for closed. When you think things are going to get better it gets worse. I am looking forward to hearing some good news about the economy now.
