How do you squeeze your toothpaste?

I find it somewhat annoying to see a toothpaste that is squeezed at the middle. Whenever i brush my teeth, i squeeze the toothpaste at the bottom of the tube. But when my wife uses it, she doesn't really care where to press the tube as long as she get a tooth paste. It's kind a funny, but i just don't like to see it that way.

Yes i do squeeze from bottom of the tooth paste but my family members do press from the middle which makes me angry. There is a format of things which is to be done we should do in that format only but most of the people wont follow it.

This is a slight pet peeve of mine too. I hate to see the tube squeezed in the middle. It just doesn't make sense to me. You get more out of the tube if you squeeze form the bottom and work your way up. It says so on the tube as well, why not follow directions. In the end though it is an easily repaired issue and I squeeze the tube from the bottom and fix it when I see it.

I finally find someone who agree with me, lol. I think that's what most people do about a lot of things - They just don't follow instructions. Thanks for the response. Happy myLotting! :)

I'm like your wife...I don't usually care where I squeeze the tube until it starts to get low and then I'll start squeezing from the bottom. I think it's funny that I'll go to a whole lot of trouble, making sure I get every last bit out of the tube before opening a new one, when toothpaste isn't really that expensive.

for me, it will depends on the toothpaste. when it is a new tube, pressing anywhere would get me the toothpaste out of the tube. However, once it reach halfway mark, i would have to squeeze the bottom half of the tube to get the toothpaste. And when it get lesser, i would start rolling up the bottom of the tube so that it pushes the rest of the toothpaste upwards for easier use and also not to waste any toothpaste.

I usually am one to squeeze from the bottom, but from time to time have squeezed in the middle. I hate seeing Toothpaste and other things with a lot of toothpaste or such at the bottom of the tube, and nothing in the middle, and trying to figure a way to get the toothpaste out of there as well.

Yeah, i notice that most of the people are just like that. They don't really care how to squeeze it. At least you always fix your toothpaste. Bacause a lot of them don't. Thank you for the response. :)

Yeah, I sometimes I don't care where I squeeze the tube as long as I can get some toothpaste. But I normally try to remember to squeeze the tube from the bottom though.

HI, LION HEART, Your discussion reminds me of a book i read- "personality plus" by florence griffith. Here she discusses 4 character types & one of the example mentioned was about the toothpaste. She says that the melancholy types are more organized, like information & do things according to schedule & pattern. Your act of squeezing in a systematic way means that you are a perfect melancholy. She also cliams that melancholics are very reliable but are less fun to be with. Your wife is of opposite trait, called sanguine, who are more fun to be with, less organized, like to tell stories, prefer colourful clothes & like to be with people. They also make friends easily. On the negative side, they often cannot find things, & are bad listeners. The solution florence suggests to your problem is that you buy separate toothpastes.I only problem i find with this solution is that pretty soon your wife will misplace her toothpaste & start squeezing yours all over the tube!!! Personality plus is a fun book, go through it. Cheers!!!!!

Yeah, i have read that book too. I do have some Melancholy traits but the truth is, i am Phlegmatic-Sanguine. I tried to find that book to add int my interests but i can't seem to find it. It's a good topic for a discussion too, right?! Anyways, thanks for your response:)

I grab it in the middle and squeeze. I just want some to come out, I don't really care how I go about getting it out. It seems to annoy the crap out of my wife. She goes behind me and pushes from the end of the tube .....she even rolls up the end as she flattens it. She has all sorts of little things that bother her like that. I love her anyway!

well I ussually dont care how to take my tooth paste out but i do also think its annoying to see it blocked off at the center but I ussually just squeeze the tube from the bottom and work my way up but i dont make a big deal about it if i see it messed up in the center form my siblings but what really gets on my nerves is when the tip of the tooth paste tube is clogged and then i have to rinse off the axis tooth paste which is real frustrating in the morning when i know i have to get to school and i'm real tired XD
