What influences your decisions? There are many different factors like emotions, being aware of the consequences, limits in resources, authority figures, etc.
Here are some examples I came up with:
Scenario 1: Two guys arguing.
A guy ends up punching or hitting another person because he was so tempted to by his emotions. He felt so much anger that he let his feelings guide him and ended up punching someone.
Scenario 2: My mom says so.
Jennifer is being forced into the showbiz world by her mom. Mom dreams of her child being seen on the tv or perhaps movie screens. She gets angry when Jennifer confesses that she doesn't want to do acting. The child couldn't do anything so she ends up with decision to follow her mom to avoid conflict and well, because- she is her mom.
Scenario 3:
Jack robs a bank. Obviously due to lack of money. Let's say that Jack has a newborn who's in dire need of medical care.
So here were just a few example. What influences your decisions? As for me, my mother influences mine because I'm very indecisive when it comes to things. Decision-making is my weak-point.
Are you always carried away by your emotions?
Do you always obey the authority?
Do you do things because it's what you think as your last resort?
Hmm.. Share your views and experiences.

Most of the time, the pros and cons of the situation influence my decisions. If I have enough time to think about things and I have seen what the advantages and disadvantages are, then I would make the decision. However, if I don't have any time to think at all, I hate to admit it but I get carried away by emotions. With regard obeying authority, if what they tell makes sense, then there is a possibility that I would follow them. If it doesn't make sense to me, then I wouldn't do it just becuase they said so. Fortunately, I haven't been forced to make a decision that is the same as Jack's (scenarion 3). So I can't say what I'll do then. Hopefully whatever my decision would be is for the best interest of everyone.

I see. The thing with authority figures, they are "Do this or else I'll.." type. Thanks much. Have a nice day.
