Have you ever seen a stray dog on the street or in your neighborhood and taken it home and cared for it? Did you keep it? or did you find a good home for it? I always carried a bago of food and can of dog food and when I came across a real homeless dog that was hungry Wed stop the van and get off and put some food down for it and leave. Some of those dogs you couldnt get close to, and you could see they were starving so Id just leave alot of food for them. I have taken three homeless dogs home with me, as a matter of fact they are still here..LOL.. I love them all.. Tell us your stories, come on and join us animal lovers...

Stray Dog. It deserves happiness - Stray Dog. It deserves happiness
We always did that as a family. We either fed the stray ones or we kept them home and found for them a good home. Now we have 4 dogs (2 of them were stray) and 42 cats (all of them stray) feeding them and taking care of them.

My first husband and I adopted a stray dog who was expecting puppies. We named her "Lady". She had 5 puppies and we eventually placed all of them with good homes. My second husband and I adopted a stray cat who had been hit by a car, and we named her "Ugly" because she was such a mess. After she was treated and got well, she was a beautiful cat, but the name Ugly stuck since she answered to it. Unfortunately, one day she was hit and killed by another car. Since then we've had no pets, but we sure do love all the animals in our neighborhood.

Oh my goodness..yes all the time..I am a sucker. When I was younger my brother and I were always bringing home strays to my mother.....and she always took tem in..hehehe,now I find my daughters are doing the same thing...We have the best dog in the world, she was a stray an albino boxer,we found her running scared around a gas station at night off a busy road,we asked the gas attendent about her,and she went on to tell us that some guy had came in a truck and just threw her out,and took off,but she could not get a plate #,the dog was sooo scared she would not come to anyone,we bought her a can of food which was down in a hot minute, and I opened my car door and she jumped in,and has been with us ever since, and is the greatest dog in the world. It took us awhile to bring her to a healthy state -she was starved and apparently abused, but she turned out wonderful, and was a great addition to our family. Finally, ending ny novel....lol, yes we do we are big animal lovers!!!! And have very big/soft hearts for strays.
