Circuit City Closeout Sale - Buyers Beware!

I was planning on buying something from Circuit City's big blowout closing sale now I am not so sure after reading the linked article. Does this make you reconsider? Typically, closeout sales are final: no refunds or exchanges, so think twice before snapping up a big-ticket item like an HDTV. Also, keep in mind that closeout prices often aren't as rock-bottom low as you'd think; make sure to comparison shop online, and don't be fooled by big "75% OFF!" signs on items that have been marked up. http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/patterson/33343

It would be a whole different story if a store chain that was going out of business was a clothing store, but a electronics???? No way! I think a lot of people might be tempted to get any kind of electronics at what they think are rock bottom going out of business prices, but what if something happens to it and you need to return it to the store after the store goes out of business??..then one is going to be out of luck....big time

I believe to mark up and then call it a discount sale is illegal and there is legal recourse for that. Thanks for the post.

You will still have the factory warranty on the items, but you better make sure that it is not smashed or something before taking it from the store. They do really mark up items at these sales.
