if you take it how your told on the box then it last like 2-3 days max IF it works!! it costs so much and i get immune to them so quick if i am sick for a week i have to have switched brands at least once.. ugh but its not the same price as 120 dollars to be seen at the local walk in clinic so i guess i shouldnt complain too much..
but does any one else think they are a rip off?? shouldnt they give you more pills in a box or something?? do you think some are even worth buying?? some seem to have the effectiveness of placebos!

only cold medicine i use sparingly is vicks rub. just so i can sleep at night and not be all stuffed up and coughing. the rest of the time, i suffer thru the snotfest until its over. the cold medicines dont work like ya said, they cost a ton, and they at times, make you feel worse than the cold did to begin with (sudafed had my heart slamming uncontrollably) so i load up on tea, chew tylenol like its pez to kill the headache, and take hot showers to ease my aching body.. and sleep alot till it passes.

well when i have a sinus infection i cant stop the headache even with the combo of two different headache pills so medicine is the only way to ease that up and stop my nose from being a faucet or stuffy and hopefully it helps any congestion in my chest.. but it usually helps for half the dosage time and then im waiting in misery for a few hours till i can redose..
in past years when i took the flu shot and rarely got sick i would never get cold meds but i swear this last year (08) its like i cant ignore these symptoms because they are really messing with my asthma and getting sleep and migraines.. where as before i would just have sinus crap but no breathing issues and i could sleep and still do things (tv or internet) with my headaches

well thats a whole nother story than just a simple cold..
ya know the tea suggestion i made in yer other discussion? do that.. or opt for ice. cold compresses across yer eyes and forehead will reduce the swelling in yer sinuses.. making them drain out, thus relieving the pressure and the pain. the migraines with those damned things make you feel like yer giving birth to twins simultaneously out of yer eyesockets.. i know yer pain. and the only thing thats ever made some sort of a difference is the cold packs on my face. others will suggest heat.. but heat will only temporarilly make it feel soothing.. it will actually increase the swelling (same as it would for a sprained ankle etc) and cause you more agony in the long run. feel better sweetie ;hugs;

well its like impossible to find medication that WILL work on me no matter what its for because it either has no effect or within the first 5 tries/doses i will become immune to it.. i cant tell you how many of my doc's prob wanna scream when it comes to prescribing me anything because i have like been on EVERYTHING and 99% doesnt work or i have to be on insanely high dosage which they never believe since im 5'7" and 120lbs.. they figure i should get relief off of baby aspirin because im skinny!! i think my pain doc like doesnt even believe me anymore because he put me on ultram, morphine, fentanyl etc and nothing helped and it should have all knocked me on my butt
