I have had a similar problem. My Laptop decided to unrecognise my backup discs so I was only left with the option to create my own boot disc. I would suggest that you make a backup of your drive first, but if you do this right your computer should be as good as new. Follow the link below to the guide I used. Its easy to follow and pretty quick considering what needs to be done. I must stress... it worked for me, but it is a risk. BACK UP YOUR STUFF FIRST!!! http://www.howtohaven.com/system/createwindowssetupdisk.shtml Good luck :)

Thanks for the great information, I have been wondering this myself, fearing the day I have to reinstall Windows, but now I don't have to worry.

If you can get into safe mode (the instructions above), you can also use System Restore (start - accessories - system tools - system restore) and select a restore point prior to the camera installation

check your system documentation, you may have a restore partition, on your computer, I know with my Dell systems they all either came with a Restore partition, or the option to purchase a restore CD with the system. so that if you do have a problem you have a way to restore your system. Now IBM also has the same with a restore partition on the hard drive, also you can check with the manufacture of your system to see if there is a way to get a restore CD for your computer sometimes they offer a cheep 10 dollar restore cd. you can also contact Microsoft to see what they might do for you. you will need to make sure you have a legal copy of the software in order to do that though.

You'd better ghost your system once. This is the quickest way to make everything back when your computer is corrupted. And what it more, you can make lates backup for your system whenever you think it is necessary. Try it out...
