would you buy meat on "special"?

I was just shopping today and i notice some of the beef was mark down,some even had a 2 or 3 dollars sticker for beef....yes it was almost the due date on it.So i was wondering,would you buy meat on sale?

I buy marked down meat all the time. We just eat it right away or I chuck it in the freezer as soon as I get home. As long as it isn't past the sell by date and it looks & smells fine then I don't see anything wrong with saving a couple bucks!

Yes, I would and have bought meat that was on sale. If the expiration date is still good, the meat is still good. I have bought the meat and put it in the freezer until I am ready to use it. It really is no different that if you bought the same meat days before and put it in the freezer. Of course, if the meat was bad, you would smell it when you opened it.

I don't usually buy meat and it might be a problem because meat spoils more easily than vegetables. You would have to cook it at once and cook it well to make sure you don't get the nasty germs that feed on meat. Cheers!!
