At times my fingertips work faster than my mind. As I was sprucing up my USB files, I accidentally deleted important files including pictures and documents. I was too late when I clicked cancel. Nothing was left in the folder. Files deleted from USB are not stored in the recycle bin. Was there anything I can do to retrieve my files?

There are many softwares to recover the deleted files. If the file system is NTFS it works best and you can almost recover all the files you deleted. It may not work properly if you are using FAT file system.

Yes, it has happened to me a lot. I worked in a company where I needed to work on big excel files of size 5-6 mb and I needed to fetch information from those files. For I used to use a macro but for using macro, I needed the sheets in a special format. In the process of formatting, I accident used to press alt+space+c and then 'N'. The sheet would be closed without saving and all my works goes vain. Now a days, I am a little cautious about these things.
