Front seats are of course the best, but if you are not that lucky, do you prefer a seat in the middle close to the wings, or a back seat? A window seat or an aisle seat?

Flying from Singapore to London I got the front seat and it had so much legroom that I was delighted. When I flew from the Maldives to London I got a free upgrade and that was excellent. My favorite seat will always be next to the window. The wings can prevent a great view from the window. Therefore I prefer a window seat away from the wings. I have just come back from flying from Cape Town to London. I got a window seat fairly close to the back. My toddler son sat next to me. It was a superb flight but a bit bumpy.

Welcome back. Pleasure to share your joy in the trip to south africa, beautiful scenery and nice people. You are great, travel that far with a toddler son. Take care.

I don't usually have a preferance when it comes to airplane seats.

The funny thing about me riding in a airplane. I am very afraid of heights but when it comes to riding in a airplane I like to have the window seat. I like to look out it and watch the clouds and the land go by. That has always amazed me because I am afraid of heights. Go figure.

The emergency row seats are my favorite. They have a ton of extra leg room. The only down side of them is that they don't recline at all. Oh well! I have a lap infant now so I am not able to sit in the exit row. So, I prefer the front of the plane to get on last and let my daughter have all the time possible to run around the airport and get her energy out. It also gets us off of the plane quickly as I hate waiting for everyone to gather their things and file out. If I can't have the front I don't really care if it is the middle or the back. I think the worst seats are the ones right across from the bathroom. Having to hear the door open and close and all those people filing in and out would get really annoying.

I prefer to be towards the front just because that means I'll be able to get off a little quicker. As far as window or aisle? I used to be a window seat person. I would prop a pillow of fold my jacket against the window and try and nap. Now, as I have gotten older it has become harder for me to sit still for flights. I tend to want to get up and stretch my legs atleast 1 time. So now I am an aisle person. I would hate to keep distubing people and having to crawl over them.
