The easy and fun times in life make relationships seem smooth. However I think it is through the trials of life that our relationships are tested and grow strong. It is only through exercise and resistance that muscles grow. It is only through study and testing that the mind develops and even so it is through what some may classify as trials that a true relationship can flourish. How about you? Have you allowed trials in your life to destroy your relationships or have they strenghthened them?

It really depends on how strong the relationship is.If both people are strong in the relationship then it will last.I have known people that just were not that commited to me or another friend and as soon as there is a difficulty instead of trying to work it out they just leave the friendship.

My husband and I have been married for 36 years. He is the only husband I have had and I love him more today than when I first fell in love with him. In 36 years of marriage it has not always been smooth sailing but he and I are of the belief that anything worth having is worth working at. The way I look at marriage is as a big rose bush. The flowers are beautiful and fragrant. But reach into pick a flower and you will get stuck by a thorn. In 36 years my rosebush has a lot of beautiful and full, fragrant flowers. At the start the thorns were there and a good amount of them but as the years have rolled along now the thorns are very few and the rosebush abounds in full beautiful flowers. Our relationship has been strengthed by the trials that have come and gone.
