hey guys, my sister works in a lab for medical research. Although there are ethical procedures , i cant help but feel all squeezy when she tells me that she has to sacrifice animals for research. I think that its worth it for the benifits that it brings to mankind, but im wondering is there wouldnt be another way without killing innocent animals..even if they are rate:S!!!!! please let me know what you think about this topic.

I'm totally against using animals for any kind of research purposes as it's unnecessary. One how can we ever find cures for anything testing on animals when an animals biological system is so different from ours? Could it explain why so many of the newer medicines are being recalled or newly listed with severe warnings since they were first mainly tested on animals, then go through a brief trial period in which they are tested on people..yet not enough time? For over twenty years there have been alternative methods of testing anything for human use... and it was started by Johns Hopkins Center For Alternative Testing. So why aren't more labs adopting these alternative methods?
