For vacuum space/storage bags - What KIND of vacuum are you supposed to use?

You know those space/storage bags where u put all ur clothes in and zip it up, then u attach a vacuum to a port thats on the bag, turn it on, and it makes the bag more smaller and compressed for easy storage?
Well I have those bags but didnt come with a vacuum, what kind would i need? I was trying to see how it would work if i somehow detached my dad's vacuum but couldn't figure it out.

I had some of these and they are wonderful. We used them to pack our clothes when we moved because the space was very limited in the vehicle. You simply use to hose on your everyday vacuum. There is a cap on the side of the bag, towards the top. You take that cap off, turn on your vacuum, and hold the end of the hose over the valve that is there until the air is all out of the bag. Then, replace the cap. Is it pretty easy, but I will warn you, be sure that you have the bag sealed or air will get right back into it, and over time, the bag will expand a little, even when it is sealed.
