I personally like wireless things better, because it's more convenient at most times and technology improves at such a quick rate that most people are no longer bothered by that fact. One thing I don't like is to have to insert batteries all the time, that's why my family always leaves rechargeable batteries near the computer in case we need to switch out dead ones for charged ones. Which do you prefer, and why? Happy myLotting!

The batteries do tend to be a hassle at times, but they're okay once you get used to them. Thanks for your response!

nice topic dude.similar to reichiru i too usually prefer wireless ones than the wired ones.i am using laptop.by due some in security i am using the wireless keyboard and mouse to operate.it is very nice when we use the wireless keyboard and mouse.we dont need to hang over one place and operate. But we must use the rechargable batteries so that it will be less expensive means we can save money. Actually iam using the BSNL broadband for this also i am using the wireless modem so that it is very useful for me because i am using the laptop so that i can operate any where the net i my home surroundings,so i usually prefer wireless ones than the wired ones.

It is a lot more convenient when you can carry it around with you and not have to worry about cords and wires dragging on the floor. Thanks for your response!

I used a corded mouse, although I really prefer the wireless kind. The one I purchased for my PC didn't work and I didn't want to continue to go through the trial and error of attempting to find the right one that would work. My wife got a wireless mouse for Christmas, it was different from the one she previously had that was corded, but she actually loves the wireless one better than the corded one. She even wrote a review on the product since the company sent me the email asking for one. So I forwarded the email to her, and she gladly expressed that it specifically loves the ease of it and how she can lay the mouse on her lap and use it. Very convenient and well worth the expense we paid for it. This is the type of mouse that recharges it own battery simply by plugging it into the USB cable port when not in use. Very sweet in my opinion. I just have to keep feeding my mouse lots of CHEESE to prevent from driving me wacky! Ha. ~ LoL!

With wire or wireless has its own advantage and disadvantage. Having keyboard and mouse with wire has an advantage that it wont get lost due to it was always attached to the CPU but when assembling personal computer accessories, it's kind of a hassle to unplug and plug it again. In your case, having wireless keyboard and mouse is really in to the technologies now a days but as what you've said, it's quite a hassle to change batteries when the battery life is gone and to buy a new rechargeable battery when the battery life of your old batteries are too short. I prefer with wire still. But maybe when the years to come that having wireless keyboard and mouse wouldn't need batteries anymore and it gets it's life to the computer still, I may purchase that product.

Yes I totally agree with you. They both have their pros and cons. Of course, at the rate that technology's advancing, we probably won't have to wait too long before they find some efficient middle ground for the two so that everyone would agree on it. Thanks for your response!

I prefer my corded mouse simply because I can't stand having the battery go when the stores are closed. With two teenagers in the house, even batteries that are well hidden disappear. . What I don't miss are the old-fashioned mice with the roller ball at the bottom.

Why don't you try getting rechargeable ones? You can tell your kids which ones are specifically for use for the mouse, so that they won't take them. And the roller ball mice were kind of annoying, dust kept clogging it up all the time. Thanks for your response!

It depends on what kind of computer am I using. If it's a desktop PC which will not move around that much, I don't mind using everything wired since it's not supposed to be that mobile or portable. Having the wires here and there will also not bother me that much and will not be messy since they are fixed at that place. However, if it's a laptop which I'm currently using, I do prefer wireless or cordless because the wires do irritate me at time and become very messy. But I must agree with you that the batteries are a nuisance. As for keyboard, I don't think there's really a need to use wireless keyboard unless I'm projecting the laptop to a very large LCD screen which I need to sit a far distance away.

Yes, that's true. Wires do annoy the heck out of me, but the batteries do as well. There's pros and cons to both, I guess. And the only reason why I like wireless keyboards is that I don't have to sit hunched really near the computer, I can just move the keyboard around wherever I feel like. Thanks for your response!

I prefer a corded keyboard and mouse.Wireless devices give out radiations to connect to a device.A wireless device can be operated from very far. They also need batteries.Corded devices are easy and simple to use.

I have a wireless mouse and its a nice feature, it doesn't really make a difference. I did keep the mouse that came with the computer because we have a laptop and I use it for that. I can't stand the track pad on a laptop.

Yeah I really dislike the track pad too, when I get a laptop I'll be sure to buy a mouse. Thanks for your response!

yes, i personally like the wireless keyboard and mouse because they give me comfort and ease when using my pc. but one thing i hate is that, like what you said, you have to insert batteries. good thing my mouse has power saver feature so i dont have to recharge my batteries so soon. COrded ones bugs me with their wires.

Wires are indeed very annoying. That's a good thing about your mouse though, it wastes less battery power. Thanks for your response!

I have not used much wireless devices, though between the batteries and issues with skipping and such, I could see how it could be a hassle. At the moment, I do not really have a need for one, as I will be at a desk anyhow, for me it will make no real difference if it is wireless or not.

I have a desktop and a laptop and I love the latter which I use with a cordless mouse. The mouse uses a small battery which is no big deal and it lasts for quite a while. The laptop I leave plugged in most of the time unless I want to go into another room and I find the battery does not have a long life at all which is annoying. I don't use the desktop very much anymore because I like the portability of my laptop I just wish battery life was a bit longer!

I still like the corded ones. wireless devices will bring more of electromagnetic waves, affecting people's health.

That's true, but I don't think mice and keyboards are that harmful. Sitting in front of the computer all day would probably do more harm than that. Thanks for your response!

Well i prefer corded, i have the worst luck with wireless. They always quit working on me and it really gets anoying, i try to reset them and all of that stuff but nothing ever works. I do like the idea of wireless because those stupid wires are always getting in my way and i have so many behind my desk it isent even funny. But for now ill stick to corded, i think wireless dosent work for me because something about my static in my body. i dunno hard to explain

I prefer the corded ones. I have used the cordless mouse but I just tend to put it somewhere and then I cant seem to place it at the exact spot on the screen, that I want to. It was quite inconvenient. The corded one is fixed to one place with just the right amount of flexibility and its very convenient for me.

If you're someone who tends to misplace things, then corded ones would definitely be a better choice. Thanks for your response!

I have a wireless mouse and keyboard. The only problem is that the batteries can run low from time to time. Just in case there's a really problem, I keep a wired mouse plugged in behind my tower just in case my wireless one ever goes wrong. :-) Derek

I received a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse last year for Christmas and I love it. No more cords to fool with and the batteries seem to last quite a long time. If this one goes "belly up" I'll buy another one.

I would prefer wireless keyboard/mouse... Becauz wired is a real headache to arrange if it got messed up... Even i would prefer WIFI keyboard/ mouse becauz it covers more distance than a cordless...

It took me a while to get used to a wireless mouse. I kept knocking it onto the floor. But I'm used to it now and I'd never go back to a corded mouse.

Haha I didn't really have that problem, but my dad did when we first got ours. But as time goes on you find that for some things a wireless mouse is a lot more convenient, so going back to a corded one would be awkward and a hassle. Thanks for your response!
