I was just going through a health magazine & found it written that breakfast in the morning should be heavy to make the LUNCH light,it would help control our calorie intake per day. What view do you have on this??

Well, I think the article was quite right. Although I do take breakfast everyday, who really has a big apetite first thing in the morning to eat such heavy breakfast? Then again, I've also known that it's not healthy to have a heavy dinner, as that would turn into fat since in the evening your metabolism would slow down. I guess it all depends on the person and choices one would take. Personally, I don't take much heavy meals be it breakfast or lunch, but I snack regurlarly to compensate my carvings.

Yes its right according to health view, but to consider this during eating is not possible. I always eat according to hunger. In india each person is bound by its regional habbits. In our family, all body are having habit to eat certain food as a breakfast ,lunch and dinner.so for me its not possible to calculate calorie.-

hello friend I agree to the fact. I think if we continue with very little food in stomach all through the morning,we would be having a massive appetite during lunch hours, that would make us eat even more. & breakfast food is usually light low in oil so no harm in taking more of it. But food in lunch is usually very rich in calorie & fat,so the little the better. Keeping our health in control is very important so we should take steps in maintaining that.

I often eat the most delicious food I have for breakfast and eat a lot for lunch.I don't think I'm fat.Sometimes you will find that two magazines often has different views about one thing,so don't believe in that.

That is what my mom used to tell me. But she would say that, it is better to eat more on breakfast and lunch, and eat less on the dinner time. Because usually dinner time is closed to the time when you get some rest through sleeping, so, it would be better doing this way.

I do eat a large size breakfast not huge but large. Breakfast is the meal that gets a person going first thing in the morning. It is the fuel that gives us energy. I don't ever skip breakfast. It is too important of a meal. I eat a medium lunch and than a small dinner. The small dinner due to the fact that after I eat my dinner I will not be doing anything else for the rest of the evening so those would be calories that would just sit on me and not get used up.

Dear friend, In our place it is the breakfast which is given much of food and then lunch and the lightest is dinner. Break fast means break the fast this is the concept we follow in our place. But there are times I do not feel hungry always during the break fast and sometimes I feel more hungry during lunch and dinner. Hence I eat according the hunger I have.

It sounds like it makes some sense. Breakfast if the most important meal of the day. And if you have a light lunch like a sandwich or soup it would probably be less caloric intake.

Yes, it is true that breakfast should be heavy but not that heavy that it gives you pain..;-) Well, Breakfast should be heavy, moderate lunch and light dinner.:-) Breakfast should be rich so that we have to gain more energy for the full day. If lunch is heavy, you will fall asleep at work. I personally believe breakfast should not be skipped by anyways. Brain workers and persons in sedentary occupations should eat a substantial breakfast but a light lunch, according to physicians so that your day starts properly, even if u miss your lunch or it is delayed,it may not affect you. Breakfast also means you are breaking the fast after 10-12 hours ,since you had last meals/dinner and slept after that so your stomach was on a fast all these hours . Thanks
