There is no "Y" in happiness, there is "I".

The key of the pursuit of happiness is that don't ask why, because it's not something one can control. The only thing we have all along is "I". So never give up, and believe in yourself!

You are right about the "I" quotient. For me to be happy it is "I" who has to make the right decisions and it is "I" who has to bear the consequences.

Putsuit of Happyness is one of my favorite movies! It is so inspiring. Makes me think... ahhh.. there is indeed a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I want my success story to be just like that, admired by all.. Setting an example to everyone.. Keep believing, keep dreaming, and keep working for those dreams.

I think we need not to pursue happiness because it is there. We only need to feel that it exists, to be happy we just have to be happy.

The"Y" was a play on words. You are correct the actual word is spelled "happiness". The author chose to change it to "Happyness" I assume because the Will Smith character becomes "Happy". The one thing I've learned with books & movies is that they can do as they dayum well please!!! They are writing the story & it is their interpretation of what they are trying to say. So, don't stress yourself out over this as it is not wrong if it's what the author is trying to convey!!!
