i hate reading books rather i cant read books. reading anything on the computer screen is much easier and less time consuming for me.since i was in school, i found it hard reading more than a few pages of a book but was a good listener. Novel readers finish up one novel in a day or two i have seen. they can continue reading for hours and hours without or with a little break. now, with internet, many more people are moving away from books to online reading What kind of reader are you? Are you able to finish off reading one 100 pages book in a day? Do you prefer reading online or from book?

Awesome! I can finish a book in a day too. One that you probably can't finish in a day is, though none go with me by Jerry B. Jenkens. what a book! wow! A little monotonous at first but once you get into it,it's fantastic!:)

As for me, it depends on the book I'm reading, say if I'm really interested on the chain of stories and on how the characters respond to each ther, as well as the dialogues and the theme, I can finish that book within a day. Some of the books that I finished in a day and left my curiosity alive are Tuesdays with Morrie, Davinci Code, The Alchemist and Five People you meet in Heaven. Very good books to keep. With regards to online or reading it from a book, I prefer reading it from a book, it's a habit of myself not to stay at one point when reading. I also enjoy it with food, by the way.

I absolutely love tuesdays with morrie and the five people you meet in heaven.another book that is great is Dinner with a perfect stranger.C.S.Lewis books are fabulous especially chronicles of narnia. A book that introduces him and his brother is called not a tamed lion.

i like reading different stuff, depending on the content and how much i am interested in it. i like reading classic novels, comic books, internet surfing, nonfiction books, memoirs, plays, screenplays, magazines, etc. i cant read for too long or i get tired and fall asleep. i need a break when i read. so i probably wont finish a book in one day unless i am really bored and dont have a life.

I can remember only one time when I finished a book in a day, cut it wasn't a very big book. I really don't like reading off the computer. It gives me a headache. I like the feel of the actual book in my hand and the spell of it, particularly a new book.

Hi,I am a big reader and lover of books. I hated to read too in school.I think the teachers dramatized it by calling on someone to read and since we were learning it,we may have been embarrassed by the possibility of being made fun of for making a mistake.Since then I have changed and I found that by reading an interesting book that it's not all that bad, so after so many good ones, I absolutely love a good story. If you would try it again, maybe read some Nicholas Sparks books or Karen Kingsbury, you may like to read now.( IF IT'S A TIME THING THEN TRY BOOKS LIKE CHICKEN SOUP )they have smaller stories. There are blogs you can read at (blogger.com) and also I have hub pages you can read and there not too lengthy at (hub pages). they make for easier reading for you if you would like. well anyway good luck.I liked your discussion.I prefer a book! http://joyful-joyfulpraise.blogspot.com/ http://hubpages.com/profile/joyfulpraise

Most books I can read in a day, if they are interesting. Just yesterday i read a 300 page book in about 3 hours. It was for a class and wasn't what I would typically read, bit it wasn't horrible either. I also read online, but I can't say which I prefer. There are more selections to read when you have a book, while your online choices are limited. Online seems to be more convenient and I like doing it, but I am a picky reader. I love to read, and I will do it all day long if I can, but it has to be something I enjoy or I just won't be interested.

Hi there, Yeah, I think I can read a whole book in a day, sometimes I even read more than a book in a day, especially when the book is really interesting. I always like to read from book, rather than read online. I like the feeling of flipping the book pages, and also I can just sit anywhere to read a book.

Well, my mylotfriend, It depend on what I have to do in one day, or in a certain day. If I am free and can do what ever I like and I found a god book I just have to read to last page I really can. But it also depends on how fast you read. I do not read books on a every day bases. And these days the computer take a lot of my spare time and I try to read some online. It is easy to get what you need to read about there. By the way, I see you are new to mylot, welcome and happy mylotting to you. Hope you will enjoy the site.

I used to be able to read the whole day when i was younger and did not have a personal computer. If a book consists of 250 pages i can finish it in one day. More than that it takes me longer. Now i have a laptop on my desk and it has became a distraction. When i read i think about surfing the net. And since i started university, my reading time has reduced a lot because of the heavy workload. I don't think i can get back to reading the whole day or finish a book quickly. But i still love to read and i like to buy books so i have reserves. If i find something online i would like to read i print it out.

Hi there User and welcome to Mylot! Well, I love to read and I'm always reading at least one book but many times I will have several on the go at the same time. I can not read two books that are similar to one another they must be significantly different, in subjects, or john genres or I will get confused. So, depending on how difficult the book is to read, and how interesting I find it, I can certainly finish a book in a day or two. I find reading a book is much easier then reading online. If I try to read a book or text online by find and my eyes get tired very quickly. I think it has something to do with the electronic screen. I know I can change the font size on my computer but I still find my eyes get tired quickly. Interestingly, the speed at which I read is directly related to the amount of reading I'm used to doing. For example, when I was a student college I read much faster than at other points in my life because I was reading more frequently. I also find that if I'm doing other things and not reading as much I read slower. Great discussion and happy Mylotting!

Hey, Normally it would impossible for me to read the complete book in a day. But, the circumstances changed when I cam across the book 'Shall we tell the President' by Jeffrey Archer. I finished that book in 4 hours as the story was too fast and too interesting to leave it unread. I am reading 'The Bourne Supremacy' by Robert Ludlum right now. This one is complicated and is taking me a lot of time. ;-P Take care

I get really tired reading from a computer screen, whereas i can read a book for hours on end without feeling the slightest bit worse for wear. As for how many pages i can read a day, i can easily finish most books in a day, anything up to 800 pages i would finish in a day, if i read from 9am - 9pm with a break for lunch and tea(thats reading properly, non of that skim reading rubbish). Most nights when i go to bed i read about 60 pages, in and hour.

I'm a complete bookworm. :) Yes, I can finish a book in one day. But ofcourse that depends on what book you're reading. I can only read for that long if I'm really absorbed with the story. I still prefer reading an actual book over e-books but if the only copy I have is a softcopy and the book is interesting enough, then I can probably do the reading online.

I am reading a book series on pdf cause I really can't afford to buy new books now so I am settling for reading it on the screen for now. I just want to finish the story and get it over with. I do realize that I miss reading books, really good books. I'll just have to find the time and energy to search thru those secondhand bookstores to get me a few decent books to keep me occupied for a while (when I am not busy taking care of the kids which is quite laughable really cause I always can't seem to find the time, my free time I spend here!) On a good day, when I have time on my hand I can just about forget everything else and enjoy a good book!

I can very easily get into good fiction stories and read all day and night without stopping to eat , drink or do anything. That is why I try to avoid any books that I would finish too quickly and feel disappointed as I would have to go get another or do something else.

I read a lot, but I don't think I'd be able to finish a book in a day. For one, I'm a restless reader and tend to alternate between several books. Two, if I'm really enjoying a book, I tend to start reading slower, maybe to make it last longer and stay in the 'suspension of disbelief' state of mind a little longer. I think my reading speed is, if I'm really sitting on it, somewhere between 120-130 pages a day.

Hi 786, I'm a fanatic reader of books. I always read, anywhere in the house. I have a book with me on the couch, next to my bed, in the bathroom and by the toilet. All different books. When there's one I'm reading wich I cannot put aside, I drag it with me around the house. I usually read when I watch tv, during commercial breaks and stuff. Or, as said, when I have to go to the toilet. A 10 page book is nothing. I finish that one in about an hour or 2... I'm a paper-book-lover as you can tell. :-)
