Difficulty remembering

Hello Mylot loves. I really need help here. I love to learn new things! When I was a kid, though, I hated school and anything related. I never took it seriously. I was a D, F student. I finally dropped out and had no intention of going back. I did go back though and I actually enjoy it. I love learning about science and psychology and history. The problem is I just can't absorb it. I learn it and understand it but always forget it. In my two college courses (media technology and graphic communications) I'm always a step behind. I listen and take notes and study but I still don't understand things. In graphics my projects are always lousy and in media tech my movies and stories are always cheesy. It's because I don't remember some of the tips and techniques that were taught to me. The same goes for math. I've always hated math. I never even tried to understand it. Now that I'm back in school I'm in basic math (my math level is very low). I'm working on fractions now and understand every bit of it. I'm flying through assignments like it's nothing, and passing with flying colors. When I go back to do tests and review assignments I forget everything I've learned! The rules to everything and the techniques. Why don't I absorb things like I should? Why is everything so difficult for me to understand and remember? It's not like I'm not trying. I'm really working my butt off and completely applying myself. Are there any brain exercises or any tips whatsoever to help me to absorb the material. I want to know things. I want to be that elder down the street that tells stories of life. I want to be able to teach my kids everything and have answers to their questions. Anything is welcome, thanks! =)

Hi, I already answered one of your other questions and it seems to me that this is part of the same thing (as I'm sure you know it is!) I do recommend that you have a look at the link I gave you there. In addition, you might find this article useful http://www.emofree.com/a/?3252/Articles2/add-blackerby-eft.htm
