I lost my home 2 months ago, had to sell my van to pay the rent that I now owe and my husband and I neither one have a job. Both of us were laid off and he can't get unemployment and mine is on hold of course. So....no income at all, except for the few things we are trying to sell on ebay....which is it - If Oprah would only share a few thousand dollars with me, my problems would be solved....lol. well, at least my financial problems wouldn't seem so bleak. I was just curious to find out how many fellow mylotters are in the same situation....I hope, not many, but unfortunately, I'm sure there will be quite a few who have lost jobs, and material things. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi there! I am currently living in Germany with my husband who is in the Army so I am very lucky to have a permanant income and also a permanant roof over my head. I do not wish to tub this in at all but I just want to say that I am so thankful for the life we have now as things could be very, very different! I wish you all the luck in the world and I hope that everything goes your way. I am not trying to get referal links here but have you thought about going to getafreelancer and trying for freelance writing jobs? I have done this and I can earn a fair bit of money per week from doing this and I thought that maybe you could give it a go as well if you are interested? It won't be a lot of money at first, I must be honest, but if you are looking for a few extra dollars a week, why not give it a try? I can earn anything from $50 to $200 depending on how many hours that I put in on a weekly basis and I do not always put in a full day so perhaps you might be able to work it as well. Like I said, I'm not preying on your situation for a referal link or anything but it may just help you out as it did for me and my hubby one month 2 years ago when we were a bit short of cash and I have been doing it ever since! (My blog has more details on how to get started and how to use the freelancing site) I really hope you manage to work everything out and my thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I am thankful for everything I have and I realise now how lucky that I am! Good luck with it all and let's hope the economy sorts itself out soon! Kim x
