Do You Drool In Your Sleep?

I have been sick with a cold and I'm not sure if this would play into it, but I woke up the morning and had drool running down the side of my face and was on my pillow. I have done this before, but not every often. I was just wondering if anyone else drools in their sleep and if so, do you know what makes you do this?

I have drooled in my sleep before. It is usually when I am sick as well. Nothing like waking up with a wet spot on your pillow. I normally wipe my chin, flip my pillow over, and go back to sleep.

I probably was having one of those steamy dreams! I think it was about that HOT FedEx Guy!!! Yeah, I think he's really yummy! Well, I haven't tasted him YET, but I know if I get to, I will enjoy every second of it!

Yup, it normally seems to happen when I'm not feeling so good, have a cold or when I'm really tired. The worst is when you wake up and it's caked to the side of your chin. lol

Heck yeah, I drool while I sleep, especially when I am laying on my stomach. LOL I get the best sleep this way and it feels so good! Drooling is just a natural process. After all, where's is it supposed to go when I'm laying face down?

I think it's due to being sick. I never drool in my sleep, but because I can't breath out of my nose right now due to this head cold, I'm finding drool on my pillow almost every morning. Normally I sleep with my mouth closed, but I can't. I'm also getting a really scratchy throat in the mornings, probably due to the same thing.

I personally find this to happen for me a lot when I am not feeling the Best. I have had the Flu or something actually here myself since like Friday and been noticing myself doing a lot of that as well. Maybe it is because your mouth gets more dried out or something, but it is not that Fun.. and you need to always remember to wipe off your face every morning, or after a nap as well.

Guilty as charged with drooling on my pillow in my sleep. I'm not completely sure though why we drool in our sleep. Probably because if we sleep with our mouths open we don't have as much of a swallowing reflex. Or something like that.

We take pics of each other sleeping...not sure why. Some have us with mouths hanging open and drooling...others are cute and cuddly . We have a scrapbook page devoted to "rest and relaxation which shows us all in various states of sleep.

we all hate the pics...I'd really like to remove mine but in all fairness...would have to remove theirs and I love them...they are beautiful so we just leave it as it is.

Hi Terri Yep, guilty as charged. lol I have to use a CPAP mask when I sleep because I have sleep apnea and I'm supposed to breath through my nose so I can get the most benefit of my CPAP. I don't know why I open my mouth, but I evidentally do since I usually have drool running down my mouth. Yuck!! lol The first thing I do when I get up in the morning, is go the bathroom and wash it off. Happy MyLotting! Char

I have drooled while sleeping, I do not know what causes this, I am guessing that my mouth must be open at the time, and I am not swallowing. When it does happen, it wakes me up and I realize what is happening, I will then wipe my mouth, turn my pillow over and go back to sleep. It seems that when it happens, it does not happen but one time during the night. That's what I call a wet dream

I admit it, I have once before. It was a few years back when I was a teenager and I was vacationing somewhere with my parents. I woke up one morning and found that I had been drooling during the night. As far as I can remember though, that was the one and only time I have done that.

It doesn't happen to me all the time but if I am really tired I will wake up in the middle of the night and my pillow will be wet and face so I have to get up and wash my face and get a new pillowcase for my pillow so I can go back to sleep. I am glad that it doesn't happen to me often but when it does it drives me crazy. I hate thinking that I had been drooling all over myself and I always hope that no one saw me like that.
