Tattoos, Do you have them? Do you like them.

Ok so what is everybody's views on tattoos. Do you love them or hate them or couldnt care either way. I like tattoos but I am not addicted, i currently have one tattoo and it is a very meaningful tattoo to me. It is a memorial tattoo for my nephew who passed away when he was only 15. The tattoo his a heart which is blue that is my fav color, and also one of my nephews, and it has music notes in it, he loved music and was always writing his own lyrics so theres the meaning for that component of the tattoo. But My FAVORITE part of my tattoo is that is has his name in his writing the tattoo artist took the stencil from a piece of his school work which he signed his name on! ALthough I hate having to have the tattoo because i would much rather have my nephew back and no stupid tattoo, I love my tattoo because now he's with me always i can always look at my tattoo and remember him. I had my tattoo done on my lower part of my calf and it was relatively pain free so that was nice too. I love tattoos but this one is enought for me. So what about all of you guys do you have tattoos, if so are they meaningful to you and why?

I love tattoos on the right person. They just look dumb on some people. I personally have 3. My first one was an eighth note on my ankle. That was back in the day when I figured music would be my life (I planned to be a band director). My 2nd tattoo was for my 10th wedding anniversary and I got my husband's name tattooed on my left ring finger. My 3rd tattoo is the saddest. I have the letter M in really pretty script on the back of my head. The reason I got this one was because I had just lost a 6 week old daughter and her name was Madeline. The M was to make sure she was never far, but in the back of my mind and not consuming every thought as she had been. It was just part of the healing process for me.
Basically, I like tattoos with meaning, ones that must be explained. I DO NOT like tattoos that were obviously gotten to be cool or fit in with a crowd. That's just lame. If you're going to get tattooed, be sure you REALLY want it.
