I need a new laptop!!!

I'll give you a brief description of my old laptop:
Processor: 650 Mhz
RAM: 256 MB
Hard Drive: 10 GB
Maximum Battery Supply Without Cable: 30 seconds
Cable Condition: screwed up
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get a good laptop not only for everyday use, but also for multitasking under a limited budget? (database, media, games, documentary)
