Do you consider yourself to be a responsible car owner?

I don't have my licence yet, but I do have my learners. I also own three vehicles with my husband. I believe that there are certain responsibilities that a car owner has. The first is knowing your car, you need to know where the oli, transmision and other fluids are. You should be able to check the fluid levels on your own as well as knowing when to top them off. I think that a responsible car owner also should know how to change a tire, and the oil. I think that these are all pretty straight forward responsibilities associated with owning a vehicle. My friends however disagree. They believe that their only responsibility is to drive the car safely. What about you? Do you think I am being to picky? Do you think there are more things a person needs to be aware of?

Yes, I am a responsible car owner. I make sure that my car is maintained according to its manual. I think this is better than having it repaired if I just use and use it without thought.
