Police Academy is a 1984 comedy film directed by Hugh Wilson.It was starred by Steve Guttenberg, Kim Cattrall and G.W. Bailey. It was a big success and had 6 sequels. The story starts somewhat like this : The new mayor has some new idea..a policy requiring the police department to accept all willing recruits.The main character, Carey Mahoney, is a repeat offender who is forced to join the police academy as an alternative to jail, a proposal by the officer who has been a friend to his father.Most of the guys stories were similar to this ..somewhere forced to do this just because they had nothing else to do.And this unviels a series of really funny moments. Another notable thing is the character Lieutenant Harris, who trains the cadets employs tactics to make their lives as miserable as possible so that they do in fact quit. This guy is really funny and even his presence can make you laugh. If you haven't seen this don't wait further..Its a really good movie..Have a good time watching it..
