Do you ever find yourself developing cravings while watching cooking shows, specials or commercials? I was watching a Travel Channel special about hot dogs and, low and behold, before it was over I was making hot dogs. Has this happened top anyone else? Would the picture here give you a craving for Apple Cobbler?

This happens to me all the time. And please don't talk to me about any kind of food when it's getting close to meal time or I'm just hungry in general. I think this falls under the category of going to the grocery store when you are hungry(bad idea) or why they have those people passing out free samples when you are grocery shopping. If you taste and like it and its there for purchase, you are more likely to buy it on an impulse. Oh, and thanks, no I don't want the apple cobbler, but a hot dog sure does sound like a good idea, lol.

I have gone shopping while hungry, no not a good idea, go for 3 things and come home with 3 bags!! Although the samples are good to get into if you did not eat before hand but there usually is never enough to fill one up. How about hot dogs with a slice of cheddar cheese and mustard, that's what I ended up making... yum yum

Ok, you gotta stop with the hot dogs...we don't have any in the house and I'm not going to the grocery store while I'm hungry. ;)

That is something that definitely has happened to me before. Sometimes I will get something to eat even if I am not too hungry because there is a cooking show on or commercial about some kind of good food that I like. Sometimes I will make coffee if it is suggested on television somewhere like on a show or something. The power of suggestion looms pretty much over tv land.

Yes that is surely true. Lets just hope "other" type shows don't do the same!!...lol
