I am compiling a list on old school (1970-1990ish) movies (fantasy, mythology, sci-fi, adventurous). I remember only a few; The Beastmaster, Krull, Conan, Star Wars, Dune, Neverending story and Flash Gordon. I have so many flashbacks from other films but I just can not remember which they were, so if you remember any please add them and if you like/dislike these movies do add your opinion on them.

When you said "old" I thought about really old movies, like "Aelita, queen of mars" a silent sci fi movie produced in the USSR in 1924. Anyway, that's an interesting movie, a bit slow and maybe naive but its sets and costumes are really cool! I'll think now about not-so-old movies for your list :) BTW, there's a "The hobbit" animated movie by Rankin-Bass, produced in 1977. It's very nice! And the music is great :)

Thank you for your suggestion I will certainly look up Aelita, queen of mars, I also love the "old, old" movies, but the thing is that anything that is older than 70's-ish will not "pass" with my significant other. And it is always more fun to watch movies with him:). I do not remember The hobbit, so this one will be added to the list.

There was a wonderful fantasy movie called "Willow" if I remember correctly with Val Kilmer. It was about a dwarf who had to take care of a baby (of course that baby had was of special importance or something like that).
