I just got into paranormal romance books just under 2 yrs ago and I cant get enough of them now... What was the best book you read and did it belong to a series? If you cant choose just one book, what author would you say is your favorite paranormal writer? I have read Jacquelyn Frank, Christine Feehan, Kathryn Smith, JR Ward, Sherrilyn kenyon, just to name a few of the top of my head...LOL

Here is a copy of a post I submitted in one of my reading groups for my top ten favorite PNR authors. "I'm going to try at this top ten listing...which for me can change again the next time I discover a new author. As of now, here is my top ten PNR..and I'm limiting this to PNR...none of my fave UF authors. 1. JR Ward 2. Nalini Singh 3. Karen Marie Moning 4. Christine Feehan 5. Kresley Cole 6. Deidre Knight 7. Jacquelyn Frank 8. Alexis Morgan 9. Gena Showalter 10. Lara Adrian But considering, I've started reading PNR a little less than 2 years now, I might have to read more, to get a better sampling...LOL... Now my UF authors...I haven't read that many yet..so I might not reach ten..but here it goes. 1. Laurell K. Hamilton 2. Charlaine Harris 3. Karen Marie Moning 4. Patricia Briggs 5. Jackie Kessler - her books was simply a trilogy..so i don't know if she counts. I think thats it for the UF arena. I need to read more."

Not a paranormal reader myself but I thank you for starting this discussion. I like to know who people consider the top authors in all genres for when I finally get around to reading one. Would anyone here recommend a good PNR book for a first timer?

I don't know if this fits in the category of paranormal but I enjoyed it so much I'm going toi tell you: It was a book by harold Sherman called "how to make ESP work for you. He talks about how he was at hid typewriter, it started to get dark so he went to turn the light on when he heard a voice say "don't turn on the light. It happened a few times. He was just about to turn on then light when there was a knock on the door. So without turning on the light he answered it and there was a lineman who said Don't turn on the light. There's a line down. He had been knocking on doors and his mind ppiked it up anytime he went to turn on the light. He then goes into how to use the ESP that he believes everyone has.
