What pays better in mylot? Starting a discussion or answering question?

Hello, anyone can advice what pays better here in mylot? Is it starting a discussion or answering questions? Well, my highest earning per day here since I started is about .90 cents but it only happened once when I started a lot of questions and wrote long answers. The other day, I started questions about my life and it made me around .60 cents and then yesterday I answered like 20 questions I just got .40 cents so I assume starting a discussion pays better than answering? What are your experiences? Advice appreciated.

I'm not sure which actually pays more, it all seems about the same to me. But I do notice that some of my friends seem to start a lot of discussions, so maybe that does pay more. I know it helps if you start a discussion and add a photo to that discussion

Yeah I think adding pix is around 1 cents additional but then I have to have 500 posts (discussions or answers) to qualify for the picture posting. So I have to wait like another 2 weeks for my post to reach 500, since I'm still in less than 200 posts. My refs, and frens also start a lot of discussions. What is your highest earning so far and what did you do?

One day, the first month I started, I made a little over a dollar. I have no idea how I did it either, or I'd do it more often 
I may have been busy on a same day that my referral was very busy, I just don't know.
It will help if you can get referrals, as you will make 25% of whatever they make every day and that can add up

I have only been here a week, and I have been trying to post to answers and build up my post numbers. I was also wondering this question as well. I have started a few discussions, but I love to talk about things I currently have been doing or books I read...LOL
I was also curious on the blog thing too, as I havent spent anytime in there and not sure what that is all about, and if it makes more money. I havent added any pics to my discussions I am still new and need to learn more first...LOL

Wow your 177 posts are done in a week? You're very participative indeed. It took me 4 months to gain the number of posts that I have right now..LOL. But I have some active referrals that's why I am close to payout again. I think adding a blog doesn't give you anything. I added 2 blogs here, about how to make money with Mammothlist.net and about free ways to earn online but I didn't receive any cents. And sure I had a lot of questions..hehehe..sorry. hehehe

like adding your own blog you do not get paid for starting a discussion, why does mylot do not make these things clear? i mean its great that people start discussions about these topics but nobody really knows the correct answer hehehe

hey that is a great tip, about starting a discussion on a particular time, probably at night (USA time) or in the afternoons like happy hours hehehehe but i only make discussions here at night when i have time.

I have been under the impression from previous discussions like this when I started that you don't actually get paid for starting the discussion, but, you do get paid for answering people who have replied to you.
So if you have an interesting question and then get a lot of good quality interesting responses that you then also comment on after, then you will earn more.
It is also good, or so I have been informed to rate the responses as well (preferable with the positive + sign).
Tags are equally important also, and they have to relate to the discussion.
Of course, its all a bit of guesswork, and everyone has a different method and think they have all the answers, so if you seem to earn more one way and you are happy with it, then continue with it and enjoy the money you earn.

Yes, I make sure to rate with a + sign all those responses to my posts that I like. And I make sure that I answer or reply those responses to my posts. Sometimes it just makes me wonder I felt that I am answering a lot of responses already or commenting on them but the number of my posts doesn't increase. Does it applies to answering other's questions only? Does this mean, quality is better than quantity? I was also advised that if I answer or comment should be at least 4 sentences up.

Which question is better to answer the one located in the NO ANSWER or those questions that are HOT TOPIC? I think in the Hot topic. Is it true that if you have questions and only have few answers it also affects or lowers your earnings? I think they pay 0.01-0.07 cents for each annswers you send. I also had some few Best answers and i think the rate was around 0.07cents.

i don't know exactly what pays more, becoz i usually do both but most of the time i respond to the discussions there are more responses of mine than discussions.......... i think the most important is the content in your post it should be more, i'm hot sure about this too........

Do you mean the quality of your post? The best post I had reached around 30+ responses it made me around 90 cents. Then I also had some posts that reaches 20 responses and below they got me around 50 cents. I am not consistent in mylot. I came here if I'm bored or nothing to do.
