I didn't give it much thought the other day when I found out about this, but in light of the developments today, the two men's sentences being commuted, this may have somehting to do with it, as if this poor family hasn't gone through enough already. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=86141 'Attempted hit' put on Ramos family "The family of imprisoned Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos was the victim of an attempted hit on their lives this month, as the agent's wife says someone broke into their El Paso home and filled it with gas, trashing photographs and pummeling their dog........"

Both of these families have been through lots. One of the husbands had to be moved because of threats on his life I think it was, or maybe being beat up when he first went in. They are both in solitary confinement. I know they'll be happy to get home. This attack on the Ramos family was uncalled for! People can be so mean to others. The family did nothing wrong, yet they had to endure the trashing of their house and beating of their two dogs when they came home from visiting their Dad/husband. And it is quite likely they could have been blown up. And, to say nothing of what her son was put through in school to hear a Border Patrol Agent stand in front of the school and say they 'got rid of two bad apples'. It makes me wonder if the intruder was another border patrol agent!

I hope for the families sake, after they get out, they relocate and just start over, these two men are HEROS, not criminals. I guess no good deed goes unpunished.

I hope they relocate, too. They do need to start over and hopefully wherever they move the people will be more accepting of people. These families did nothing to cause the actions of these thugs!

They have been through alot and I think they will go through more. Bush only commuted their sentences so they are getting out still convicted felons. What kind of job are they going to be able to get? Heck are they even going to be able to vote? Add to that all the stupid people that are trying to hurt or kill them and I see a rough road ahead. I hope the relocate and change their names. Then maybe they can get a fresh start. It is truely horrible that we have treat these heroes in such an ungrateful way.

In my opinion our federal government owes it to both of these families to arrange and pay for them to be relocated and to take on new identities, as someone in the Witness Protection Program would be. I wonder if maybe the Obama Administration will do the right thing by them. Annie
