OMG...I'm actually starting to miss the bots.

I never thought I'd say it , but I miss the bots. The prices on the items that they used to gather in huge supply keep climbing because they're now in shorter supply. Now you can't even buy mithril & coal & expect to make a profit by using the blast furnace ( which uses half the normal amount of coal ). You'd lose a fortune if you crafted it normally. Pure essences price along with many others have climbed as well. It's ridiculous that the components used to make something cost THAT much more than the finished product. Why are players allowing the prices to run a muck like this?

coal is around 170 each when i started i think they were 220 a piece so they still slightly cheaper mith is about 330 and 2 coals are worth about 340 i think u still make profit with blast furnace

That comes to 3350 GP total to make a mithril Plate body which high alchemies for 3120 Gp. That's at least a 230 GP loss.

You miss the bots? I don't think so...you miss the raw materials they produced...but ot's better if they don't exist...they were ruïning the game...it's too bad that products like coal and logs and sharks are more expensive now, but it's better than a ruined game....

Yea, a double edged sword there. The bots kept supplies readily coming in & prices at a reasonable level but also cheated people out of real money & got in the way of real players playing. It's too bad they hadn't just tried to run their business more legitimately & toned things down a little ( ok, quite a bit ) where Jagex didn't have to give them the axe. Then maybe our supply prices wouldn't have gone through the roof. Who wants to buy supplies for something like smithing where you end up taking at least 300 GP in loss on everything you make?

It's Runescape where I get to virtually hit bears over the head with an axe.

I am going to have to agree with ikzelf on this one...as much as I loved being able to buy flax and such dirt cheap because of bots...they were just messing up my groove, my friends groove, and just got in the way too much. Or at least they did in the nonmembers world. Why a bot would want to pay membership to pick flax and then get caught I will never understand, that is like paying membership just to have membership. Anyway, players just depend on raw products that are not there, because those who can afford to buy the raw supplies from the ex-bots see it as a lame labor and is below them I suppose. I mean I know it is faster experience sometimes, but still get off your behind and go do some manual labor off and on.

I'm always telling my friends " Don't buy the supplies,,,Don't buy the supplies!". This time I was just at the blast furnace & ran out before I could finish. I went over to the salesdwarf there ( whose prices are based on the G.E. ) to buy some & nearly dropped my chin on the floor, Got my calculator out & said "WTF?". Who is paying those prices where you actually take such a loss on what you make?

I miss the bots being gone, but mostly because a lot of the updates people hated and ranted about were caused by the bots... Trade limits are one thing just about everyone hates the most, mainly because bots were transferring items for real money. Now that bots are all gone, we're left to deal with all the crap Jagex created to deal with something that is no longer here. At least if the bots were still here, it would bring a lot more items into the economy, and although it would hurt profits from people that actually get those items as well, it would cheapen them for the rest of us.

If they had just taken the payments people were giving them instead of getting greedy ( draining peoples credit accounts ) maybe Jagex wouldn't have taken so drastic of steps. I just find it stupid that costs have now gone to the point where you'll lose hundreds of GP if you buy the supplies to make just one item.
