Do you leave the TV on...

Do you leave the TV on and just go about doing your other stuff. It means you're not watching the box. But just letting it run so that there would be some sound at home? Well, i tend to do this in the evening when it's dark and i'm alone at home. It makes the silence not so deafening. But i don't always do so. It really depends. What about you?

I do this quite a bit. I like to have other noise on when I am doing my work. Although there are times when instead of the television I will put on music to listen to. I think the reason that I do this is because i am so used to having it on when the kids are home that when they are not then it is too quiet.

I like to have the television on for the noise, or if there's something on there that I really want to watch, but I need to clean also. Sometimes it's on for the children to watch so they have something to do when there's nothing else to do. I don't have it on always, but it does help break up the noise in a quiet house.

hello, just like you do i like leaving the television on if I am doing something else so that it wouldn't be totally quiet from where i am working at. As I type this comment my television is on to give me company. Of course i would look at the TV from time to time but my eyes are set on the monitor most of the time. I just can't work well if there aren't any noise around me. LOL.

I am guilty of doing this, I have the television on all day long, even if I am not looking at it. I sometime have two on a one time. I have a television in my computer room it is on while I am on the computer. Then when I go in the kitchen (I have a TV in the kitchen too), I am preparing dinner or cleaning the kitchen I have that television on too. I guess I need to have some noise in the house all day long with me. I live alone. Most of the time both TV's are on the same channel.

My husband does thise all the time. It drives me crazy! If you're not going to watch, turn on the radio or put on a CD.
