Lately there have been a lot of people going door to door selling things in my neighborhood. I have nothing against these people cause it is there job but I do have a sign that my friend gave me that I put up on my door. The sign says: WHATEVER YOU ARE SELLING, I AM NOT INTERESTED. THANKS ANYWAY. Now it's not a big sign but it is in plain view and I still get these sales people at my door. I used to do the polite thing and say no thanks not interested but now I am getting miffed. Lately I have taken to opening the door enough to point at the sign before I close it in thier face. I have to ask, how do you deal with people like this?

Maybe a no-trespassing sign.. one that has a follow up of how violators will be treated... I do not have that problem, but I would be aggravated too that no matter what, people ignored my request to not be bothered. Maybe a good way to stop a few of them is to get the contact info for the organization or company, a number for the boss and so on. Contact those numbers and tell them about your sign and about the intruders. They may ensure it never happens again.

I have a glass door. I see them. They see me. I don't answer. That way, I deliver a message without getting my blood pressure up. They get the message without my getting my blood pressure up. After a week or two, they get the idea. 'nuff said.
