My September is full

So I am trying to get my schedule in order. Yes, I am one of "those" people. I prefer to have my schedule pretty tight for the year by now. I also color code ink. Depending on the activity, I write in a certain color. For example, I serve on boards so both cities are in different colors, I have a color for a county board, a color for my daughters stuff, a color for volunteer activities, a color for general family stuff, then my business, I have different facets to that so different colors for that. My schedule looks pretty and colorful and I have entire weeks through the year that I am just booked. Do you do any early planning? Do you keep a planner/schedule? What are your methods to be sure not to over book your self?

I keep a daily planner in my purse and at the first of the year I go ahead and right down birthdays and things like that. However I don't really have alot to do. I mean at the most my weekends may get full, but overall I live a pretty simple life.

WOW you are to funny. I just fly by the seat of my pants. I work 5 days out of the week at the same place and after that I'm come home and that is it. I go out on the weekends for food and what ever else we mite need. Other wise like I said by the seat of my pants. That sounds like a lot of work. More then what I have to do at work. They do that at work maybe that is why I don't do it at home. I forgot to do it at work one day got yelled at told them where to put there markers. As we have to write it down on a tracking sheet why do we have to color it done. Can't you all read. I get yours how ever. You have a great day. Save time for you. Your fjriend onlydia

lol thank you, I have my nose in too many things and am running my own business, with no assistant to keep track. Do it is very important that I have my act together. Yesterday I left the house at 6am and got home at 9pm. Didn't spend more than 1 1/2 hours in one place. Today will be about the same, and tomorrow I will work from home til about 3pm then I have networking events. But I also deliver three kids to 3 different schools then pick them up.

Oh my gosh. That is way to much for one person. Well, that is because I have to sleep for 10 hours for my health and if I don't things get out of wack. I do hate that part as I like getting up early somedays. Do you ever get to sleep? WOW. Your friend onlydia

Your making me tired just reading what you do to plan your days. I don't plan. If I did, I'd have way too much time on my hands. Best to just play it day by day.

Woooow My hat goes off to you! What an organised person you are! I have a diary and just fill it in as things come up. I'm not really that organised....

I have a planner that I write down everything in, things to do, places to be, etc. I also make full use of my yahoo calendar, as it will send me email reminders. I normally don't plan ahead further than a month or two. I also make sure I leave weekends and at least one day during the week open. You never know what might come up. lol

I know what you mean. Fridays I keep as open as possible, I do have a meeting at 7:30 am every Friday, but otherwise I keep it open to spend with my daughter. She doesn't have school on Fridays. I also keep Sunday for family and church activities.
