Does anyone here enjoy reading comic strips? I still enjoy reading them and I always make a point to check them out online early in the morning if I can. What are your favorite strips? Garfield is my favorite one, but I also love Adam@home, B.C., Dilbert, Wizard of Id, and Pearls Before Swine. Garfield, A@H, and Pearls Before Swine are probably my top three favorites of those. I'm sure most people are familiar with Garfield. Adam@home is about a work-from-home father named Adam Newman. As Wikipedia puts it: "the comic's humor mostly focuses on workplace style humor like Dilbert, however it emphasizes the foibles of working from home, computers and commuting." Pearls Before Swine, I found out about the comic and got into it last year. The guy who makes the comics is actually a former lawyer in California, believe it or not. Again as Wikipedia describes it, it chronicles the daily lives of four anthropomorphic animals, Pig, Rat, Zebra, and Goat. Even the creator of the strip Dilbert is a fan of the strip. So what about you all? What are your favorites?

I used to love reading comic strips daily. I never missed a day. But I have gotten away from reading them and haven't been a reader for years now. I don't even know what made me stop reading them. Garfield was one of my favorites as well. I haven't even thought of pulling them up on the computer each day. I might just become a comic strip reader again. Thanks DarthJustice.

If you do start checking them out online, may I make a suggestion? lol. Gocomics. would be a nice place to start as they have a lot of the common and famous strips. And possibly ones you may have never seen before. There's also Yahoo. But their comic section (I get to it through the news tab on my Yahoo toolbar) doesn't have nearly as much variety though.

Oh Dear ! This is one of my favorite topicof discussion which you have started. I am also a big lover of Comic strips! My favorites are garfield and Dagwood! By the way I am a free Lance Cartoonist and I used to contribute a lot of cartoons on various subjectsto local and National News papers. I used to run a Comic stripby name'How Is It?' where I had two teen age Charecters! This Cartoon stripeI could run for few years only! Once I have completed my education I had to quit this hobby as I have joined Stud Farm line. Oh I have forgotten to mention that I am a senior Vet working for one of the reputed stud farms of my country where we are breeding the Throughbredsfor the purpose of Racing! So after joining the profession, I hardly had any opportunity to try my hand again at Cartoon making! But after the retirement, which is again a big question mark in our profession I am thinking to start this hobby of mine! It is really so nice to have met with some one interested in cartoon strips! They are really ice and a good Cartoon strip early in the morning can make your day a wonderful one! Thanks ! It was an interesting topic of discussion indeed!

I read comic strips also but usually just on Sundays. Garfield and Pearls Before Swine are two of my favorites as well. There are several that I like to read, such as Luann, Get Fuzzy, Zits, Foxtrot, Rose Is Rose, etc. I know there are more but those are the ones off the top of my head at the moment. I've never heard of Adam@home before. I'll have to look that up and check it out.
