Do your kids still have snack time at school? My son is in third grade, so I was a bit surprised to find out that his teacher still gives them a snack every morning at 10 am. It is usually something like Graham Crackers or Goldfish crackers. What age did your school or your kids school stop doing snack time?

My oldest still has snack time at the end of the school day. They go to school at 7:30 am and have lunch at 10:30, so during their last period of the day they have a snack that they've brought in from home. I don't remember ever having snack time when I was in school!

Either the school or my son's teacher provides these snacks.

I guess each school does things differently. My daughter doesn't have a snack time. Unless they are celebrating another kids birthday. But her school does serve breakfast before 9 am. So for where I am they stop at kindergarten.

My son eats breakfast at school up until right before school starts, snack at 10, and lunch at 11:30. He says that his teacher says taking a break and eating a snack helps them to concentrate better. Half the time they have a snack of some sort in the afternoon too.

School always had a snack time.My son is still 13 months old so i share my experienced when i was in my grade school. Our school always gives the students a half and hour snack time around 9:30am. So during snack time, i always had my rice cakes or banana cue or sandwiches from the canteen and that until high school. I just stop having snack time when i was in college. Happy posting and myloting.
