Who do you think will be drafted first overall in the 2009 NHL entry draft? Hedman or Tavares or somebody else?

Prior to this season I would have said Hedman but due to his injury and Tavares' performance at the World Juniors I would have to say without a doubt it will be Tavares. Personally, I'm not a big fan of Tavares. He is an extremely talented player yes, but I feel like what you're seeing out of this guy right now is what you're going to see down the road. I don't feel like there is a lot of potential for him to grow. If it were my own personal rankings I would have him down about 4th or 5th on the list with Matt Duchene and Brayden Schenn above him. I would also have considered Ryan Ellis before Victor Hedman but that may be a bit of a stretch there. I just don't feel like Hedman can play the North American game as well as others are building him to be. And with Tavares like I said, he's a gifted player yes,but I don't see a lot of potential improvement for him whereas others who may not quite be up to Tavares' level of talent now will surpass him in the future and those who wind up drafting the likes of Duchene or Schenn will get a much better product down the road.

Oh Alexander Daigle...what a guy. I thought he was finally coming through, a bit of a comeback so to speak with Minnesota few years ago but that didn't exactly last long. I would not say Tavares is another Daigle, I just don't think he's going to develop much further than where he's at right now. He will still be a very good player, but I'm hesitant to label him as a great one.
