How long do you think it will be before people become disillusioned about President Obama, when the glow of the inaugeration has finally wore off?

They will be disillusioned only because of their unreasonably high expectations. I certainly hope he is a very good president but he has a very difficult job ahead of him. I didn't vote for him but I'll support him. I don't expect what a lot of his supporters do, they seem to think he'll be a miracle worker.

That was a scream! I could not believe anyone would say that! But I think many of the people who voted for him thought they were voting for a free ride. They couldn't even say where he stood on one issue, they just kept robotically saying "hope and change". This election was very scary for me, it was reason against the sheep and the sheep outnumbered the reasonable people! Oh well, we'll see. I'm willing to give him every chance and I hope I'm wrong about him. I was never fond of socialism!

It will take a while because they will give him more chances then they gave Bush and the other presidents before him. In fact, it might take the whole four years and the ones who will suffer are the ones who knew about his faults before then. I hope that those who voted him not because of his policies but because he was black finally realize the color and ethnic group do not matter as much as character and that color does not make a better character.

I think his arrogance will weigh him down eventually with a lot of groups. And where's his sense of humor? At least Clinton had a sense of humor to balance out his arrogance. Thanks for your reply, suspenseful.

My guess is we'll know because the audible thud of realism will be heard around the world.

It will take some time for people to finally sit down and take some stock after giving him another chance after another chance after another chance... Eventually they'll ask 'what did you do for me lately?'... that's when the shine will be gone I feel sorry for him because if he doesn't deliver on his promises none of his nice little speeches will be able to save him. People will come after him even worse than they did with Bush.

His speeches might not even be able to save him, lol-that one he gave on inaugeration day was terrible! And he can't speak properly without a teleprompter. And people used to make fun of Bush for the way he spoke!!

I have no clue. I would have thought they would have already gotten there. People are nuts though they want something to believe in and they trust everything with a mere human being why can't they trust in an almighty God.

Soon I hope. I am really getting tired of it and a little scared. SOme of these people seem to have a cult like worship of him. I will be glad when things go back to normal and the news actually does not have obama 24/7 on it.
