Well, my experience is far worst than yours. Something happened to our electrical wiring at home that cause our house (yeap only our house) not to have electricity for a whole 3days! It was insane, the electric company couldn't fix it fast and it was Friday, so they didn't have office to follow-up the paperwork since they're closed on the weekends! I tell ya, you'd truly say that it's better to lose internet connection than not have electricity for 3days! Arrrrgghhh... The horror, we couldn't watch tv, there were no lights (only candles and emergency lights), no cooling system, nothing! We felt we were back to the age where there were no electricity and the worst part, our neighbors have electricity! Arrrrggghhhhh.... But we took it as an opportunity to bond closer as a family. We shared our time (we had no choice) talking and making each other laugh. It was surely something we needed. Let's just say the circumstance was forced to us and it felt great.

i can't imagine being in your situation.internet is one thing but electricity-it's entirely a different thing.what you said reminds me of one episode from oprah, that when something bad happens, the least we could do is try to look for something that we gained from it rather than dwelling on what we lost. thanks for sharing! happy mylotting!

I understand your pain. I was so there for like 1 1/2 weeks during the Holiday time. We moved and so we have to wait for the cable intenet and phone service. We finally go it on the 6th of this month and I've haven't been happier. No more library for me.

Hi! When I am working from mondays to fridays, I can enjoy the world wide web as well, but during weekends I make sure to be internet free because I have lots of things to do at home, It is always a family time because my husband and myself are both working on weekdays.. To keep me updated on important mails, I check on emails thru my mobile phone. :0)

Not being able to connect to internet for several days can be very annoying. I certainly find it annoying, if I don't have accept to internet. It really does irritated very much, though I'm entirely sure why it irritates me so much. I don't think it should.

hi eiram25 i experienced the same situation but it is a month back.No internet for 4 days.It is boring and i cant able to seat calm.I made phone to the service provider nearly 10 times a day.But he is telling i will come today,tomorrow--so and so.But at last he came after 3 days.He seen the net and the system and he said that ur net connecting port is damaged at the main office and he will cure that but i takes a day.And the net came after a day.so i am happy on that day. This is my experience.

yes my friend i think i can get the state you were in with no internet for 3 days. i can feel it when my connection is out for some time. we are now a days so much depended on the internet, it is such an integral part of our life that a computer without internet looks blank to me now a days. it is very important to have a net connection i think.

i too would feel bad and disappointed if i experience this scenario. i can do a lot of things in the 3 days if I got my internet connection up. what had happen? what is the problem all about? if it is a problem from your ISP you can always as for discounts for the days that you were not able to use your internet services. I have been dependent with the net and without it my day wouldn't be complete.

Nothing Like A Home Phone - AT&T offers DSL and it works for me!
My DSL went down last week and it was completely unacceptable. I contacted my ISP and they told me that dial-up service came with my DSL so I unplugged my defunct DSL modem, plugged-in a phone line and surfed at a super-slow snail's pace, but at least I could still communicate with the outside world (and submit my homework online). People often ask me why I have a home phone instead of a cell phone. Internet access seems like a good argument to me! AT&T works for me!

I can imagine your situation without internet because i also faced the same problem, I think there may big problem at you ISP so that he took 3 days to correct it. My ISP is also not able to maintain a good network because i am seeing that internet speed is goin down day by day and i really hate low speed internet because i can't wait for long time for pages to load.
