Kidney Stone?

Are you familiar with kidney stones? How big can you anticipate them to be? Or rather what is the largest size can you anticipate it to be in one's body? The size of a melon seed, grape, prune or golf ball?
Well, I can tell you that if those are the sizes that you are anticipating, then what you are about to read here will amaze and shock you. For this kidney stone patient, a Hungarian had a kidney stone size equivalent to a coconut. Amassing a 2.5lb weight, I just cannot imagine the pain he had undergone whilst the stone was still lodged in his kidney. Ouch!
The discovery was actually accidental as he was originally undergoing an abdominal operation. So, kudos here for the operating team who were alert to spot the stone and relieve the patient from further and future discomforts.
Life is really fragile indeed and I was glad that at the end of the day it was not cancer.

OMG that makes me hurt all over just to think about it considering that a kidney stone the size of a large grain of sand can cause unbearable pain! I'm surprised it took that long to diagnose it.

thebeaddoodler,
My exact sentiments here and that life is simply too fragile.
So do treasure the moments and have a nice day.
Take care.

wow what a large kidney stone. It is a wonder that it did not cause kidney failure. It looks like an egg in the x-ray.
