The road to nowhere...

It has just been one of those weeks, where nothing seems to be going right. it seems that everything that could go wrong.. has! and everything that could go wrong.. just might! Do you ever feel like just getting in your car and driving so far that your problems can't catch you? Where do you go when nothing is going right, and you just need to catch your breath again?

When I need a break from my stress, I go outside. I just take the time to listen to the sounds of the birds singing, sometimes just the quiet of outside is enough to renew my spirits. Other times it is not good enough, I have another solution that I find works for me. I close my bathroom door, fill the tub with some good hot water, and read in the tub while I soak my worries away. Just look at it this way, if you are feeling like nothing is going righ, nothing will. They key is to stay positive, just think of this saying: It can't rain all the time, eventually the sun will shine again. I hope that helps, good luck and keep your chin up.

If only I had a car, Stormy...... I seem to be having one of "those" weeks myself actually; and in a few minutes I have to head off across town to deal with even more drama's! Where do I go when things get hectic and disappointing at times? I try to go to a place in my mind where I can convince myself that as per usual, these challenges are fleeting. All we need to do is look back at our life to date and we will see time and time again that for every cloudy day, there are many more where the sun has been shing brightly!

Ya don't really need a car, James.. because there is no place far enough to drive away to.. an no way to out run the blues.. that really should be a song! really! lol! You are right, I've had to do that this week.. finding that place of special memories and thoughts and hang out in there for a while. I hate shing and shiny days (it gives me a head ache.. can we wish for a cloudy day instead? lol! P.S. no need to correct typo's I read them fluently! thanks for the pep talk! I hope your week gets better! *hugs*

I know that feeling. I think everybody does now a days. This month of January is really bad for me right now. Another two to three weeks, and my electric is turned off. (unless a miracle happens, so I can pay it, hahaha!) But, to catch my breath I try to keep myself busy. Watch tv, listen to some music, make a new song ect. It is not always easy, but I try to comfort myself by thinking; "Things can only get better." Take care.

I have two electrical meters. Two separate bills as well. And I live in Berlin. I am not sure if they are not aloud to cut of the heat? But the normal Electra is no problem to cut off. What means no t.v or internet or telephone. No cooking and no washing cloths. The worst part about no normal Electra is no warm water to shower!!! The rest I can manage without. Just washing with cold water, is going to be hard .hahaha! My BF said we will find away. But I am not sure it is going to work this time. We are far to behind. But, again : Things can only get better. Thanks for your comment. Take care.

Yes, I remember once on my way home from town looking at the road going up the mountain and thinking I should just keep driving ... but of course I didn't. I think our problems always catch us - you can run, but you can't hide. It's a good idea to have a day or two to catch your breath, as you say - but ultimately, I think we have to face whatever's bothering us and try to make the best of it if we can. After a crappy week, a nice one often follows ... we have to think that way anyway, don't we?

True.. it helps if we can't think like that... but some weeks, like this one, and it makes even the clearest thoughts cloudy. thanks for the encouragement! hugs!

this is a very heartwarming discussions. to those who are confused in life and in struggle. i kind feel you. over the past two years, nothing has been right for me. and i ended up on self-pity which is totally wrong. figures why my nick is totallyundecided. LOL. i wish i have a car though, wherein what you saw in movies that you just want to drive it all away and at the same time reflecting on how and what life has been done to you. right now, still. everything is really messy. most of the people i care about hates me and i did nothing but screw everything up. a friend even offered to help me but i figure i would add her into my mess. i really wish though that everything now is just a passing phase. i always pray to Him as much as i can that i would be able to go through all of this. life is never easy but this is just the way it is. i hope everything will turn out fine for us little storm.=)

I've been in that situation lately. Even how hard I try, but things still went wrong around me. But I have high hopes that everything will still go right. Maybe I just need to learn something. And that is still I need to know what.

I have days like that but since I don't have a car I really can't go anywhere. I just try to forget about it . I probably have a few drinks to many to help me forget about all the Crap that went wrong.

If I can I go to the Mountains. The Redwood Forest is my favorite place to be to gather my mind and let the woes of life slip off me. My favorite tree is The California Redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains or Big Sur which is near there. I have been having weeks like thaat and there is no way I can get away for a trip just now. I have had to leave the place I was staying and am staying with my Mom in Tucson Az. I need to find a home for us, my cats, dog and me soon cause it is just to cramped here for me to be able to even get to my things. So Yea but do I ever have those kind of weeks.

I know how you feel Stormy. I too have been having one of those weeks. I use to get in my car and drive to the lake. Just sitting by the water use to have a calming effect on me. It seems when I would sit there looking at the water I could somehow put my problems in perspective and deal with them better. Now however, I take out my photo albumn and look at the pictures of my family. I realise how truly blessed I am when I see the pictures of my six beautiful grandkids. It makes me believe I have nowhere to go but up. Hope things turn around for you. Try to stay positive for there really is power in positive thinking.
